It was fairly simple to put together even with slightly incomplete directions. One person can still do it. It fits perfectly in the small space where I have it. The color blends perfectly with the room as it is now.

This is a good value and small floor space option. We got it because the weight rating is highest for value priced beds (wood included). Bed is squeaky for heavier sleepers (100 lbs.) turning over (metal support rods rub), but a bunk board would quiet that. Sort and check all parts before assembling. We had 2 significant pieces not be cut right so we had to wait to assemble top bunk until getting a replacement. I was not surprised by this after reading the other reviews, but disappointed we had to wait - and that the website didn't accept my part number so I had to call. And when I called the first time I got a "we are experiencing technical difficulties" message and had to call back later. (this is why I gave it only 2 marks for meets expectations). When I finally got a hold of a person though, it was easy to get new parts shipped out for a free replacement. Replacement arrived quickly. Overall, the bed is sturdy, ladder ended up close to wall which makes it tight for 5 foot tall 100 lb. kid, but we love the clean look and the space it (doesn't) take up. Worth the wait!

I purchased two bunk beds; colors grey and black for my 11 and 13 year old boys. I was surprised that my 13 year old would actually still want to sleep in a bunk; however, they both love them! The bottom bunk is a very nice size, in which I purchased the Bundle that came with a full size mattress for both. We all took our time and put the beds together in about 2 hours and 15 minutes for the first one and 1 hour and 45 minutes for the second. The second time around was much easier. I recommend two people or more to put the bed together; especially when first assembling the frame. After that it is easy street! Some pointers for making life easier is to use the hex key they provide in the packaging. I thought it would be easier using a screw driver, but the hex key gets the bed super tight and makes it much more sturdier and eliminates squeaking. I learned this after adjusting the first bed and heard squeaking, and the hex key did the job perfectly. Moreover, the ladders are easy to put on as well, but on one of my beds the ladder seemed to be a bit short (This is the only reason I gave it four stars). We could not put it on, but I am not returning it being it is only one small feature that we can go without. Besides, the ladder is hard on the feet anyways and my boys climb up top with no problem. Hopefully, my fiance will be able to drill a small hole to adjust this minor problem; if not its fine. I hope this review helped and I would definitely recommend this bunk to others who may be interested.

The product itself is excellent quality and compliments my son's room perfectly. The construction is sturdy and was relatively easy to assemble. My only complaint is that the instructions could have been a bit clearer. Working in the manufacturing field I was able to figure out how things needed to go, however for someone who does not the instructions could be somewhat confusing. Thus the reason I only gave the product 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that you are getting a quality product for a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this product.

The main frame is barely adequate. The lower bunk main beam does not seem strong enough to support n adult making up the upper bunk. The cross members that support the mattress are not strong enough to support an adult directly without a mattress in place. The upper bunk frame does not slide into or over the lower bunk frame, so the bed needs to be disassembled completely to get it out of the bedroom. The plastic inserts that keep the cross members in their slots cannot be removed without breaking them, so if the bed needs to be disassembled and re-assembled, new inserts will be needed. In a few years these inserts probably will not be available.

The materials are not strong at all the metal easily bends and is not supportive for children.The bottom bunk broke in less than 6 months now I have to find a replacement. Not safe for children as they can get hurt if it collapses on them. I wish I had bought from a different company.

Within the first day of being up a metal slat on top bunk snapped. My son is only 5 and weighs 40 lbs.. The frame is so loud and squeeky it literally drives me crazy for the kids to hang out on the bottom. Every move=loud squeek.. should have known better. Looks good but thats it. Im going to have to figure something else out.

Well I'm very disappointed with this bed, it only lasted a year the metal starting bending until it eventually broke. This was a total waste of money my boys are not rough so there should be no reason for it to break besides poorly made material, they had another metal bunk bed that lasted several years, just wanted something new but what a mistake that was.

I ordered the bed and the shipping was great, however, the hardware was missing and several calls to the company that makes this bed have yielded no results. I have to wait for the hardware to come from China and they can give me no realistic date as to when this will arrive.

I wish it had been stated that the bed was larger than the mattress.... very unprofessional and not satisfied AT ALL!! Not Right!! Haven't gotten the top single mattress yet...PROBABLY that will be bigger than a standard SINGLE MATTRESS as well.... will arrive on Saturday.... I'll let you know.
