Discovery #MINDBLOWN 1200X, 600X, 300X Microscope, 41-Piece Experiment Lab Set for Children and Elementary School

I actually purchased this for my Adult girlfriend, to dabble into the world of microscopics. It was everything I wanted it to be, it is geared towards children, so it has a lighter feel to it, which initially comes across as cheap. However, once you use it, it works great, and it comes around, from cheap, to understandable...I mean its for kids to learn to aporeciate science, not a lab at Pfizer lol. We dig it, and you would to.

I bought it for my grandson. Age, 8. He's always curious. He's already wanting more slides. The few included samples were a plus. A good purchase for a curious child.

I got this for my science loving 5yr old and was very happily surprised with the quality of all of it. he's obsessed with it too! I am attaching 2 images i tin with my cell phone by putting it up to the view finder to show the magnification.

my 6 yr old son has missed quite a bit of school due to being sick... I know science is one of his favorite subjects in school so I bought this lil set n we had soo much fun with it! viewing the slides was his fav. i enjoyed making our very own slides to look at. definitely recommend this for the lil scientist in yr life! came with 5 premade slides n 7 extra to make yr own.

Bought for 8 yr old grandson and he loved it. It is listed as ages 8 and while it is small, it definitely is made well. Also, of all the starter scopes I looked at, this had a stronger magnification at X1200. There are larger more expensive models but this one is built to be more kid-proof. Takes 2AA batteries for the light, which do NOT come with it.

It's not the best quality microscope, but we got it on sale and my seven year old is very interested in science. I like that it comes with additional blank slides to create your own slides. I feel like the strongest magnification is blurry but the other two magnifications work fine and are neat to see.

We bought this microscope so my girls could get some knowledge of using a microscope. It was a little hard to focus at times, but we were able to see what we wanted to see on the slides. For the money it was worth it. Definitely a beginner set, not meant for major science projects.

So, this was an exciting to purchase. My kids had a great time with it. However, I am not sure if the quality was worth the money. It was $40 and I can barely get it to focus so I can see through it when the kids want me to look at what they are seeing. Overall, I would not recommend this product because I'm sure for the price you could get a better quality microscope..

When opened,the base for slides to sit on was loose and could not be tightened. I returned to the store purchased and asked to exchange. They were out, so told me to come back when in stock. This is the only Wal Mart in my entire county, so I go there a few times per week for groceries and prescriptions. When this microscope came back into stock, the customer service department said it was over 30 days on my receipt. I told them I had tried to return for a new one, but store was out and had just gotten in. I was told “Too bad.”
