I bought this for my 7 year old son he loves it,. it was a little difficult to get it to focus but after 15 minutes we figured it out. I would recommend for your kids under 12

We bought this for our 5 year old grandson and it works great. We set it up for him to see his first full super moon and it did not disappoint, he was so thrilled...Makes for a good first telescope.

I bought this for Christmas for my little brother because he wanted to see the stars and planets. So far he loves it and he is 7. He can operate it on his own without adult help. It makes a great gift for kids who love astronomy.

I brought this for my son's birthday as a gift since he has a solar system fascination! The Assembly took a little long, wish it could've come with video instructions, but overall it was ease of use

My grandson asked for a telescope for Christmas. Since he's only 10, I opted for this one due to the price point (under $50). Unfortunately, it is very small (needs a desktop/elevated surface) and required assembly such as lens insertion/calibration beyond his abilities. He was happy to receive it but I didn't feel it was worth what I paid. I will probably purchase a better quality option for him in the future.

The telescope looks fine and even feels average in quality. But the optics are garbage and the pieces fall apart every time you make small adjustments. It's absolutely not worth it!! Especially for someone learning how to look at the stars and space. Sure you can find the moon… 😳but it's pretty hard for a youngster to operate otherwise. I guess it's ok for little guys to play with as a “toy” if you don't mind spending that much on a “finder”. But I wouldn't call it a very good telescope.

We were really really looking forward to be able to see the stars with the telescope. However, the lenses and the way they are exchange were done and it was hard to put it back to its normal place. I wouldn't recommend this. I do believe there is others with better quality.
