We were looking for a easy to use kitchen knife sharpener found the DMT. It's great few swipes through the sharpener and they're ready to cut. Recommend this for sure.

Kitchen knife sharpener
Very convenient to sharper my kitchen knives and does a great job. Not too large so forsn't take up much counter space. With usual awareness this sharpener seems safe to use.

Save your money
The old adage "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more accurate when it comes to this product. Despite not anticipating a top-of-the-line razor sharp blade, I did hope that for $20, it would at least be able to sharpen a knife to some extent. It's puzzling how this item has garnered so many positive reviews, as the product I received falls short on every level. This purchase turned out to be a letdown, one that I'll chalk up to a $20 mistake and move on.

Get a regular whetstone.
Doesn't sharpen barely at all and blade sharpeners/whetstones fall out way too easy after only two uses.
