My husband needed compression socks that did not stop his blood from circulating like the last pair he ordered elsewhere. These were soft and just a light compression to help his legs heal from the rash that he got from the pair he had bought on line from a different dealer. Too tight compression socks are worse than no compression socks. Thank you!
i‘ve heard this name for years and here I am turning 30 had to do some hard labor and my waterproof socks were crusty even after being washed so I saw these, seemed like a good price and they were fantastic. They did the job more comfortable than the other socks, obviously not waterproof but if you have feet pain, shin pain, or you need slight compression. These are a great choice. pain, shin pain, or you need slight compression these are a great choice.
I bought these for my son who's on his feet lifting boxes all day. He immediately put them on saying how comfortable they are. He has varicose veins which is unusual for a young man so really happy he liked the support they give him. I absolutely recommend them:)
Never saw myself as needing compression socks, but here I am, time is inevitably the winner. Thar said, these do a great job of helping to keep the swelling down and that, in turn, helps greatly with the swollen legs and ankles, pretty much cuts the neuropathy as well. Getting into them is made easier if I use ankle socks against my foot and slide into the compression socks over that, helps to get them on straight and tight and avoid folds or creases that could become problematic. Stay up well, without dropping down around the ankles.
OK, first let me say I have very little knowledge of support hose, never gave them a thought until the swollen legs and creeping neuropathy. These are long enough that they reach to near top of calf and are not as probe to sliding down and becoming a tourniquet around your ankles. They will leave an impression in the leg, but that is how support socks work, nice and tight without cutting off circulation! I find them easier to slip onto if if I drop into a pair of ankle sock first then slide the support sock over and on, less catching on toes and easier to adjust so that the heel is actually lined up with the heel of my foot. Only rarely have to drop off and pull them back up, which is another blessing. Stay up all day Comfortable for work or play And the neuropathy (mostly) goes away. What more could you wish for?
These are the softest compression socks that I have ever had over the years. The RDMS at the cardiologist office even commented on how soft they felt. They come in sizes that fit very large feet and are easy to put on compared to many other brands.
Walmart is doing an awesome job supplying items for medical needs. These socks are made very well, our doctor recommended these for my 88 yo dad who survived 2 strokes this year. They are not nylon so no stinky feet. They are tough to get on especially if the client can't lift the leg. Roll 'em up to the toe and work your way up to the knee. Use a pillow to lift the leg during application if you don't have an extra set of hands. The top of the sock is not too tight, so comfortable behind the knee. Don't worry about the socks being too warm because the clients wearing these generally have extremities that are always cold...Any DME that you need, try Walmart online first. I have found every medical and adaptive need at Walmart to be inexpensive compared to DME stores.
Great value 1 St of all, but more importantly they go on much easier. Some compression socks are a arobic exercise. I have chronic swelling of the feet, ankles, and calves. Dr recommended compression socks but I've never been able either get them on, or tolerate how painful they were. these socks are soft and thick and work so well I can wear them for up to 8 hours. Try them for the price, use them for the benefits. .
These socks are the first ones I bought to help with blood flow as I sit all day long for work. This is the first day I use them and my legs got more swollen than ever. First of all they dont fit up to my knees they are short. The only thing it did was leave a mark only legs and feet.
The purpose of compression socks is that they stay up over the thigh and allow the compression above the ankle to increase circulation. I woke up in the middle of the night in excruciating pain to find that the socks had slid down and there was close to a 1 inch groove right above my ankles and was increasing in pressure.
