Unbelievable such a great idea and such a great attachment

I got my first Dremel EZ Lock sanding drum two days ago. I used it tonight on a project to modify an old snow blower chute auger crank into a handheld compost auger for use on my compost pile. I sanded a lot of rough and sharp areas and found swapping the sanding drum amazingly easy. Much better than my other Dremel sanding drums with the screw on top.

I really like the convenience of this mandrel. It makes switching grits so quick and easy. Plus it holds tight and doesn't get warm and loosen its grip on the sanding drum after a few mins. I hope that someday there will be a small version of this as well for the smaller diameter sanding drums. Great product for sure. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I used this attachment tool on my replacement deck boards, when finishing up the prep work before installation. This tool was very helpful in smoothing out a knot on one edge of the replacement board. I didn't want to use my larger sander on that area, as it was too close to the edge and may have caused the board to splinter. The EZ407SA really helped take care of the problem! I especially like the quick change for the sanding drums! Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review.

Before I had to battle to change my disc or my cutters I no longer had to worry about that I was able to get them on and off easily which is a godsend and I know my husband is very thankful cuz I'm no longer hollering for him to help me. I definitely recommend for anyone who's got a couple tunnel or arthritis who doesn't want to rely on someone else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the sanding bit does work off very easily, applying a bit of water and then allowing it to dry a bit keeps this bit from slinging off the sanding drum.

I like the new style, easy to change bits, components, cutting or grinding blades that Drexel has been putting out in the current marketplace. In theory, the tools are fantastic with the new change out methods. They will evolve a little at a time until they have made some little improvements to help them become a longer lasting item overall.
