The only thing I am a little disappointed that the seat isn't wider. I'm a hippy lady and needed maybe an 18 inch for the seat. Over all I wouold buy this product again for a family member or a very close friend. I received this product in less than 5 days and for a company like walmart to place and then ship an orderthat fast is a really good thing. Thank you very much.
My 86 year old mother loves this as a walker. There are times that even walking is to much for her and...like magic...there it is as a wheel chair. Yes it would be nice if it would fold up flater and easier...but it is not that bad once you get used to it. It is worth a little trouble to have two in one. Everywhere we go, we get comments on it. I looked a lot of places and Walmart had the best price on this product! Hands down...worth every penny!
Sturdy and enjoyable to use as a rollator walker. Helps me keep my balance better than a cane and lets me move much faster so I get more exercise. Use it around the house and outside during my bad days-(got lots of "issues".) My husband will be able to use it to push me around when we go places like museums, airports - anything that requires distance or waiting around. Love the item. Would recommend it to others with disabilities and Wallmart service was great.
This walker is very well-designed and sturdy. It turns and navigates corners beautifully. Its design is incredibly flexible and versatile, converting to its wheelchair form very easily (although that was not our primary purpose for it). It folds down but is not terribly flat, although none of the more substantial walkers actually fold flat. The person for whom we purchased this walker was opposed to using a walker, until we showed up with this one. Now she is proud of her "vehicle" and is confident in her walking, which gives her much-needed exercise without fear of instability. It has been very liberating. We highly recommend this walker!
This was simple to open up and all I had to attach was the safety bar. Rolls real smooth and seems to take the weight real well. For the money it was an excellent value. Really impressed.
The wife has bad knees and cannot stand for long periods or walk far. The chair helps as she now has help walking and a place to sit when we go shopping. It is a little heavy but very strong.
Easy to use overall. Very comfortable to sit in, with a large seat and bin for storage in he seat. The seat bar is relatively easy to switch, but the release buttons have to be at just the right angle and force, which requires concentrated physical force to achieve, which can be frustrating and harder for one with limited strength. It is also rather wide compared to other walkers I have used, so narrow doorways and passages are challenging. It is great for someone who needs both a walker and wheelchair at times. Very handy.
I purchased this item for my dad after he had hip replacement on his left side. He is 215 lbs and 6 feet 2 inches. Not a small guy. He has been using this for a week now and really enjoys getting around with it in his apartment. What makes this such a nice rollator is that it can be used as a walker, seat or wheelchair. The frame is sturdy and the big wheels make walking a breeze. The only drawback, it is not easy to fold to place in a car. Luckily I am able to throw it in the back of my suv trunk without folding it up. The foot rest is wobbly but does its job. I would have to caution about using this rollator on carpeting because it can get away from you, even with using the breaks, it still glides. The back support bar is not easy to remove and insert for my dad because his hand eye coordination is not as good as it used to be. Saying all that. I would still recommend this product to anybody who has trouble getting around without support.
My family member has been using this model (Drive 795BK) since breaking a hip four years ago. The specific model was recommended by the physical therapist. The walker purchased four years ago was suffering from wear and tear, so a new one was purchased from this website. It is good that it provides the option to use it as a walker or to sit in it and be pushed. The maneuverability is good, the brakes are good, and it is easy to use. It is easy to fold it up and put it in the back or the trunk of a car. Lightweight and portable enough for a man or woman of any age to handle. It has a convenient pouch under the seat to carry personal items, and a footrest that can be used when sitting in the seat. The only problem is that when the user is sitting in the seat and being pushed, the walker's front wheels have a difficult time going over cracks in the sidewalk or over the threshold of a door. It is necessary to watch for any sidewalk cracks that are not flat. Often the user will need to stand up and pull the walker over the sidewalk crack or the door threshold.
A good combination rollator/transporter but tends to be a little heavier than a regular rollator. Do not like the way it will not stand alone when it is folded. The swivel wheels spin behind the center of gravity and the unit falls over. Do not get this one if you will never use it as a transporter.
