I LIKE THE HEAVIER WEIGHT BECAUSE THE PATIENT CAN USE IT FOR BALANCE. THE LIGHTER WEIGHT POTTIES TIP ON END WHEN BODY WEIGHT IS APPLIED TO JUST ONE OF THE ARMS. NEXT TIME I'LL BUY THE VERSION WITH A BACKREST.

My elderly mother suffered three pelvic fractures and was in dire need of a bedside commode with a padded seat. Although we had a bedside commode, it did not have a padded seat and sitting on an unpadded seat caused her extreme pain. I searched for some time for a bedside commode with a padded seat to no avail. Even the physical therapist working with my mom had never heard of one, but agreed there was extreme need. As a last resort, I checked online with Walmart and could not believe they had EXACTLY what I needed. This product is perfect, in fact, it comes with drop arms for ease of transfer - something I was not expecting. I cannot say enough good things about this product. I am just so thankful to have found it through Walmart. This has made my mom's life so much better. After getting the first one for her assisted living apartment, I ordered a second one to keep at our house when she visits. Highly recommend to anyone who has undergone a hip replacement or pelvic fracture!!

It's everything I needed, after a fall that left me immobilized. Large comfy (washable) seat with a good opening in front; drop down arms for better maneuvering; sturdy, well constructed; and adjustable i height, so can get in and out of bed unassisted. (My husband's now sleeping thru the night!) You won't be disappointed if you get it, and get the liners too. (Just trust me on that.)

This is a solid chair with a nice padded seat. Insecure seniors require a soft landing. A very solidly manufactured chair.

The chair is absolutely wonderful. Nice height, and very solid. I bought this chair over toilet when my husband used it in rehab after knee replacement. Works wonderfully for all of us. Now we want to get a bedside one for the night.

Bought for my wife, went together fast and easy. Two things were negative. One my wife is short. This commode is not made for small adults and children. The adjustments don't allow setting for small people. The other is it has a lid for the bucket, but it can not be use when fully assembled. You have to un -clip the front of the cushion to put a lid on. The padding is excellent and the construction is also excellent. It is small enough not to be in thee way and yet large enough to be comfortable.

Very nice and steady unit with a comfortable seat! The seat clips to the bar really tight so is hard to lift seat to empty bucket. I actually cut off one side of the each of the two front clips, under the seat, so that the seat can be raised easily. Now it works great! That's the only con to my purchase. But great seat over all

It looks great but is to high and the sitting area is very uncomfortable. You better try it before you buy it.

Finally a portable toilet for a man. Construction could be better. The padding on the seat is very hard so could be softer.! There is a gap between the bucket and the seat so that needs to be a tighter fit. Love the fact that the seat could be turned both ways. Do not know if this could be done but a back for comfort would be great.
