I put 4 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket and used half of the container (4oz). Mixed it up and dunked the chickens into the solution. Take care to keep it out of their eyes and nostrils. Best done on a warm day to let them dry. Also best to do it after they lay eggs for the day. Then they dry completely and there is no holdback person on eggs. It worked very well in conjunction with a complete coop clean out and spraying the coop down completely with cottonseed oil. I would recommend a second dunk in two to three weeks to ensure the eradication. A preventative for future infestation is to spread beneficial mites in the run which are predators of the chicken mites annually.
Great product would buy again
This is VERY strong! and it is toxic; despite what the website says. It is not safe for use on animals or humans.
This is such great stuff! I've been using it for about five years now to dunk my gardening clothes in because chiggers fleas and ticks are such a big problem in the south-I'm extremely careful to make sure my cat isn't around since Perron is toxic to felines-
Diluted to 0.5% and used as an outdoor spray, seems to have stopped ants after a couple days of spraying a perimeter around the house. Not great for use indoors as the smell is quite strong (sort of a petroleum/diesel smell). This is the same active ingredient used in tent sprays and for certain human and dog conditions. Follow directions carefully. Dilute carefully and do not use near bees to protect their colonies.
performed as advertised best I've found for carpenter beest
strong smell, but works very well .
I don't know what's up but for the first time starting last year we are having major issues with fruit flies (yes, I've taken pictures of them up close after they are dead to identify) Since they like moisture and our spring has been quite moist it seems like they are literally gonna take over. They may not seem to bother anyone else but I loathe any form of a flying insect. I have anxiety and these things exacerbated my anxiety. We bought the uv plug in, there are some gnats on it but there is no way it would handle the amount we have killed plus it takes forever. We still do the vinegar traps and about every 3 days I dump and refresh. We used mosquito bits twice already outdoors. We've used just a can of flying insect spray, I've used two or three bottles of alcohol to spray on them flying around and on surfaces. I finally realized we needed some knock down power. We used this and mixed it per instructions. My husband sprayed along the perimeter of our mobile home. It's the 4th day now and another drenching rain today. I arrived home after being out a while and started seeing a few more than I had been since he sprayed the outside initially. But those few days were very nice not to see them flying around in front of your face. This evening he sprayed the baseboards in our master as it's attached to our master bathroom with open concept. We have the room shut off with ventilation going. I'm hopeful for a more serious knock down with that application. I suspect with their reproductive rate and the fact it doesn't kill the larvae a person would have to use it once a week for a moderate infestation. I would purchase again
I ordered the wrong type of poison.
Purchased this for the 2nd time and the content was completely different from the first bottle. 2nd bottle had a very strong, pungent chemical smell that was overwhelming as well as having the consistency of water (normally, it has a mild smell and is syrupy), which made it hard to mix with. The company did refund me, after a explanation of their vendor may have changed the content, which I responded that that was not a good excuse. Strangely, the caps were crudely wrapped in box tape, which made it suspicious since the content was completely different, despite the fact it was from the same manufacturer. I am hoping this is just a isolated incident, as the first bottle was very good.
