This is my second Dyson vac. The first one is a V6 Pet. It's about 12 to 14 years old. This new V15 is great. Super suction!!! It's a little pricey but worth the money knowing it will perform beyond the next 10+ years
I love, love , love my Dyson. It is has strong suction. It does not charge over 70%, I don't know why. However I still love it down.
You should see all the crap that came out of my carpet. Dog hair- dirt- little micro bugs apparently which the vacuum tells you all about. Not sure how I lived with so much filth before this vacuum. Is it worth 600 bucks? Yes it is. Especially if you have a dog and children. Could you spend 600 on other things? Yes you could. But would your carpets still be filthy? Yes they would.
This is why I will only buy Dyson. I was blown away with the suction power, just amazing. Beautiful machine, I have a white Golden retriever which tons of hair and this does the job! wonderful maneuverability, the attachment I use the most is build inside the wand.I know Im cleaning the air while Im vacuuming and the Battery stays on so much longer. I am so very pleased with my purchase.
It's a serious upgrade from our old Dyson and boy are the scientific improvements better! The light is a game changer -so shocking to see so many dog hairs on the kitchen floor. The power monitor shows me just how much running time I have left as I whizz around the house.
I'm giving this Dyson vacuum 3 out of 5 stars. The vacuum itself is okay, but for the price, I expected better quality and sturdiness. I purchased this vacuum brand new (not refurbished) and have only been using it for about two weeks, mainly for spot cleaning rugs and occasional hardwood floors. The LED light attachment is great and definitely helpful, which is one of the reasons I didn't rate it lower. However, my main concern is that the parts don't seem to fit together securely. The pole/attachment doesn't look like it fully connects properly, and it almost appears broken. I've attached a photo showing what I mean. I'm honestly unsure if this is how it's supposed to be, but it doesn't feel right—especially for a vacuum at this price point. I understood going into this purchase that the vacuum doesn't stand upright on its own and that you need to hold the trigger button to operate it, so those things aren't issues for me. But even buying this at a discounted Black Friday price, I don't feel the overall build quality matches the cost. If this were a refurbished vacuum, I'd be more understanding—but it was advertised as new. Because of this experience, I'm hesitant to purchase another Dyson and may consider a more affordable cordless option instead. Overall, it works, but the quality and sturdiness just aren't there for the price, which is why I'm sticking with 3 stars.
We bought our V15 Detect for the strong suction and battery life. It's great for floors, but it is removing the pile from our carpet, i.e., the carpet head is overly aggressive, even with the suction at minimum and the setting that leaks air. Unfortunately there does not seem to be an alternate head that is less rough on our carpet, so we can only use the V15 for floors.
The vacuum came with parts that don't fit so I can't use it. And I can't register it as the one I was sent is a US model. Do very happy with Dyson right now.
I bought what I thought was a dyson v15 detect but it turns out it was a fake Dyson with a genuine registerable serial number. I tried contacting Dyson about this issue but have had no contact from them and there is no direct email to talk to anyone at Dyson. Be careful when buying a Dyson from anywhere other than direct.
The dust bin is impossible to thoroughly clean. It appears to be a bad design. Photo below is after emptying it. A lot of dust is released into the air when you empty it and it is very difficult to completely empty it.
