EAST OAK Updated 30" 725 Sq inches Electric Smoker Portable with Glass Door Black

Arrived late due to snow storms across US, arrived undamaged. Used twice now, made pork roast and sauerkraut 1st meal, very smokey! Was leary about it not smoking the wood chips, I was wrong! 2nd meal shredded beef, only put small handful of chips in, perfect slow steady smoke. Added only a couple more small handful of chips a couple times more. Temperature very accurate on meat probe and internal temperature. Only complaint is that the meat racks only rest on a small ledge, can't slide racks out without having to hold up end of rack so it doesn't tip forward. When you buy one, I used it in a detached garage in winter, made a vent hole in ceiling and used 3 inch flexible elbow and aluminum dryer vent through ceiling. Works perfect without smoking up whole garage! Did not set off CO2 detector. Very satisfied with purchase!! PS, make sure all packaging Styrofoam is removed! There's a lot. Thought I had it all removed before initial burn off, missed a thin strip on inside bottom of door. This smoker is definitely worth buying, strongly recommend!

I love my electric smoker! My only regret is not getting one sooner. This smoker is very well built and simple to operate. It comes with a remote control which alerts me when I need to check out what temp it is at without going outside. I have done many different types of meat. They have all been perfectly cooked and delicious. So happy with my purchase.

I've only used it once for pork but with great success. The build is much better than the Masterbuilt I had for 4 years. Easy to clean and the wheels to move it in and out of the garage is exactly what I needed. The only downside is the 12 hour timer needs to be reset for long cooks. I'm looking forward to many great cooks,

I've had this smoker for about a month now and I've used it six times. I love it! Very easy to use and the remote control allows me to keep track of the temperature while inside the house. More than enough cooking space for my family as well - great product.

This is a great little smoker and meets my needs well. I like that it's electric and uses wood chips. Mine has the glass door which helps visibility. I can wheel it in and out from my deck with ease. It's easy and fun to use and does an efficient smoke!

Let me start off by saying I've always been very skeptical about electric smokers.. but I wish I would have made the move sooner this thing is amazing I bought it to cook briskets after cooking over 25 to perfection I am 100% sold thinking of buying another one

I always had a propane smoke so switching to electric was weird. To my surprise this unit holds its temperature inside its insulated cabinet. I was very surprised at the unit itself. The glass door is a nice feature and a bad feature all in one. Nice to see what's going on inside but difficult to clean. Not having to open the smoker box door to add wood chips is another nice feature. Was able to smoke 2 10lb pork shoulders at once with ease. One major flaw on this unit is the paint above the exhaust for smoke. It gets super hot and peels and bubbles after just 1 or 2 uses. Although this DOES NOT effect cooking it is an eye sore on such a nice cabinet.

I think this smoker is fairly good for the price. I have smoked tri tips, chicken, and brisket on this. The brisket by far came out the best, and it was my first time so it did a good job smoking. The smoker does have some downsides but for the price that is expected. First, the wood chip smoking part of it is not quite what I hoped. The chips burn out very quickly within 3 hours. Do you dont get as much smoke as a pellet smoker. Second, the smoker has some issues maintaining temperatures. It usually is a but over temp, and my cooks happen faster than they should. Lastly, the size of the smoker is a bit too small. It is challenging to fit a full size brisket in without folding it or touching the walls of the smoker. Overall, for the price it has been a decent entry level smoker that has helped me learn where the value is with a pellet smoker. I think I definitely won't get another wood chip one because it is a bit more work and has less space.

This electric smoker replaces another one that we owned for 7 years. (The other one just up and quit one day). The East Oak is similar in size to our former one. I store it in the garage when not in use and move this to the back yard using a hand truck for use. (The wheels on this smoker are very small and only for short distance moves.) Easy to use. However, the tempuraure does not seem to stay stay steady throughout the smoking process. Nevertheless, it did a great job smoking our char siu ribs. Smoked about 6 pounds of ribs at 220 F for about 3 hours. Finished them off in the oven so that they would still be moist. Next will be smoked salmon!

Let me start by saying this a good sturdy unit with some nice features however it only cooks to set time and then lowers temperature to 130 to keep warm. A much better feature would to be able to cook to internal temperature using the probe then go into the warm mode.
