This says four and up but I bought it for my 3 year old granddaughter who loves it. She is learning while learning to love reading and math! Awesome!

Very useful education piece for toddler

Nice birthday gift for my 3 yr old grandson who loves to count. His older siblings are home schooled and the hot dots activities give him some "school work" too.

My child loves this! I showed her how to use this and she just took off with it! Very easy for her to follow and very interactive. I love that she has something to do that's actually educational for her as opposed to just watching videos on a tablet. Would definitely recommend this product!

This is such a cool learning book. My toddler usually has a pretty short attention span, but this keeps him so engaged. It is easy for him to understand each activity. He gets so excited when he gets an answer right and sees the green light glow! It is durable enough to withstand my 3 year old too, which is a plus. I would definitely recommend this product, and plan on getting one for my niece!

I have two girls, 4 and 5. They both really loved using this and practicing their skills. The visual response of red or green is very helpful for them to see. However at one point all the answers were showing as "red" even though they were right. Perhaps this was due to a low battery? Overall we really loved this!

This product is easier for my child to use. It makes it to where they can figure out the answer themselves. They feel accomplished when they see the green light appear. I plan to look for the rest of the books to help my children with school. I will recommend this to family and friends who have young children.

I didn't expect it to just light up on the correct answer I thought it help count as well

I had high hopes for Hot Dots, but I am a bit let down. I thought this was more of an independent learning tool, but because the age group isn't able to read, I need to read the instructions to my 4 year old so she knows what to do on each page. Would be great if the pen would read out basic instructions for the kid for each page. It would also be great if the pen would still work when taping the correct answer, rather than just the black dot below it. Overall, we like this and we plan on buying the reading one as well. We are just disappointed that my daughter can't use it independently even for a short bit of time.
