Educational Insights Hot Dots Let's Learn Preschool Math Workbook with Interactive Pen, Kids 3+

This says four and up but I bought it for my 3 year old granddaughter who loves it. She is learning while learning to love reading and math! Awesome!

Very useful education piece for toddler

Perfect for my 4 year old. He loves it!

Nice birthday gift for my 3 yr old grandson who loves to count. His older siblings are home schooled and the hot dots activities give him some "school work" too.

I have two girls, 4 and 5. They both really loved using this and practicing their skills. The visual response of red or green is very helpful for them to see. However at one point all the answers were showing as "red" even though they were right. Perhaps this was due to a low battery? Overall we really loved this!

This product was better than expected. The way they make math fun is above exceptional. My child is almost 3 and it was able to keep his attention. I love how the book interacts when my child chooses the correct answer which then stimulates him and makes him want to Continue on. The design of the book and the pin are more durable than I expected. Yes the book is flimsy but overall I believe that it would withstand a three year old. I plan on purchasing other items from this company and I would recommend others to do so also. Making math fun let alone any school subject is a hard task to achieve, but this product has done just that. So if your on the fence on purchasing this product. You have to ask yourself, what do you have to lose, other than your child's education. Buy Buy Buy!!!

This is such a fun and educational toy. My daughter instantly loved it and so did I. Honestly I like the fact she can basically do it on her own, with little guidance from me. I was impressed with how quickly she learned how to use it and do the problems. My daughter just turned four and had no problem doing the math, which I thought she wasn't ready for. Definitely give this a try the results are fantastic! I have already recommended this to all my mommy friends, and purchased the flash cards.

My daughter is in Pre-K so this was perfect for her. The toy is really simple to use. You simply go through the questions in the workbook and click on the dot next to the corresponding answer. If the answer is correct, the pen will light up green; if incorrect, it will light up red. I like that this is easily portable, as well. I do have to work on this with my daughter, as I have to help her read the questions, but I really enjoy the time spent.

I had high hopes for Hot Dots, but I am a bit let down. I thought this was more of an independent learning tool, but because the age group isn't able to read, I need to read the instructions to my 4 year old so she knows what to do on each page. Would be great if the pen would read out basic instructions for the kid for each page. It would also be great if the pen would still work when taping the correct answer, rather than just the black dot below it. Overall, we like this and we plan on buying the reading one as well. We are just disappointed that my daughter can't use it independently even for a short bit of time.
