Disclaimer my child has a sensory disorder so I was trying to purchase items to help him. The reason I say this is because he is currently three and I now understand why it says for ages five he can use it just fine however, if you have younger children they could get a hold of this and end up hurting themselves. My son used this absolutely fine. It was really great, but I do have a younger one so we ended up having to put these away.

This toy is great for my sons who are 5 and 6 that are learning how to connect and build things. My sons are autistic and their first instinct is to play with the balls by rolling them but we are teaching them to use fine motor skills. Sometimes it can be hard to push them into the balls but for the most part they do it on their own. The booklet on how to make different designs is nice too. We are very happy with this set.

I think this is a great educational product. My son loved it especially since he had just learned about 3D shapes. He loved making the shapes on his own. But once he'd make all the shapes he became a bit bored with it so he would make Ramos for his hot wheels. I think it's more of an educational manipulative but that's about it.

My daughter is 6yrs old and ADHD. We are always trying to find fun education games to keep her stimulated. She received these as a birthday gift. The Geomaker stem toy has been a fun addition to our educational activities. This is such a fun little set and it works pretty well for tiny hands - the only downside is there should be three times the amount of balls and rods.

my son absolutely loves this set. its a great stem tool for your youngster. he has been enjoying them since day one that they arrived. great start to learning what molecules are. definitely a must buy for your child if you want to start churning their brains.

The learning resources stem explorers Geo makers 3-D building challenges is lots of fun. It comes with a booklet of ideas to help your child get the idea of what to do. But in the end your child can make whatever they want with it and that's what makes it really fun. It's a unique toy. And it's nice and it actually doesn't have to be plugged in. It's perfect for a long flight or a long car ride. It's fun and educational.

I got this because my neice is autistic and loves too build things. It came with a lot of of fun colorful pieces. They are good quality and well made. But that being said one of the pegs already snapped off in a ball peice. My neice loved it regardless of that one peice breaking and she spent hours designing and building things with these pegs and balls. I'd recommend these definitely for a 6 or 7 year old.

Really good educational toy. My 5-year-old enjoys building with it and learning shapes. Pieces are a good size and easy to use. Just wish it came with a few more pieces.

My 4-year-old loves being creative and building things, but he has started getting bored with his magnetic tiles and foam blocks so I was super excited to get him this. Right away he started coming up with creative shapes and designs. But in less than 5 minutes four of the pieces broke. The ends that fit into the connector balls snapped off rendering those pieces useless. Five stars for engaging creative minds. Two stars for durability.

Very few sticks and balls to make even simple shapes. It did not keep my 4 year old grandson's attention for long.
