Like the 2 remote feature, we are purchasing a half cow and want to be certain the freezer keeps the meat frozen. with this thermometer, we'll be notified if the temperature rises immediately.
inexpensive but works well
works fine
this is an excellent thermometer for your refrigerator or freezer. I bought a couple of others with it but they take the small circular batteries that are expensive to replace and two of these weren't working when I got them. these just take double a batteries and they are very accurate so that you can always check the temperature in your freezer or refrigerator. we got a new freezer and it started not too cool after a month. luckily this was in February but still. we were able to track the temperatures and move stuff out as we needed to into a cooler or another freezer as needed. these are very accurate and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to keep track of their temperatures. very easy to use!
Works as promised! Excellent price!!! The batteries sit in their compartment a little loose so it's easy to disconnect the batteries accidentally. A little tape fixes this so it does not drop my 5 star review. I am ordering another set now for my xtra refrigerator / freezer.
I hesitated due to the price: Did I REALLY wish to drop a 'twenty' on a product that was unlikely to be up to the task I needed it for? I had placed a poorly manufactured freezer down in the basement under the house. The house was built during W/W2 with many layers of good wood and insulation between it and the basement it had been perched atop decades later. You must go outside and to the back to find the basement door. I set the thermometer and placed both sensors in the side-by-side here in my kitchen for a few days in order to "discover" it. It worked GREAT right here within proximity to the base unit. But eventually, the day came when a load of laundry necessitated a trip to the basement and so too, an opportunity to discover my fortune or folly. Cutting now to the 'chase' in a failed attempt to ma a tale less long in the telling: "IT WORKS GREAT!!!!" It does more than I knew I needed it to do and has been doing all that I hoped for it to do from then to now, flawlessly! I find it to not only be worth the price but am now astounded it was so inexpensive for such a well-made and useful piece of equipment. Many is the time I have paid more and received less
Great but wait to set the alarms til it is within the limits you set or alarm will sound over and over.
Got this after our freezer got left open and we lost most of what was inside. I read the instructions word for word. But I really am not sure it's working. First, the signal is not that strong. If you're looking to keep track of something that isn't pretty close to the alarm, it might not work. The bad part about that is you've got to be able to hear the alarm if there's a problem, right? I set it up as instructed. I set it up in Fahrenheit, with the alarm set to ring if the sensor was 33 degrees for more than 10 minutes. The minimum temp was -40, so I just left it there. But the temperature readings are constantly weird. For example, the inside freezer, which is opened way more often than the deep freeze, shows something like -23, where the deep freeze shows current temps at like -7. Ok, whatever, but it also adjusts my max and min temps all the time. For the -23 temp, it might make my max 7 degrees. It hasn't beeped at me yet, but I honestly don't get it. I haven't touched the settings at all. Does it work? Maybe. Maybe not. Three stars for at least the appearance of function, I guess.
I bought 2 units and only one set is working. It will not let me have 2 in my house. They only read from the one set. I have several freezers and refrigerators and was wanting these for all of them. Not happy
I couldn't figure out how to program it. I returned the item
