Taylor Classic Series Large Dial Stainless Steel Analog Display Oven Thermometer

I recently moved into an apartment with a new gas stove/ oven. I needed to be able to tell the oven temperature to bake. I liked the large face which made it easier to read. I found out it bakes 25 degrees higher than the dial number. Thank you.

I noticed lately that my electric oven was baking too hot. I decided to purchase a thermometer to check and see just how off it was. This thermometer was reasonably priced so I bought 2. I gave one to my daughter to keep on hand. Anyway the first time I used it verified my suspicion. My oven is baking too hot. Now I feel I can preheat my oven and know for sure what the temperature is before placing my creations in the there. I highly recommend this item.

Basic oven thermometer but its all i need. Needed to test my oven temps. Works great.

I have used this product for many years. It is easy to use and I believe the temp is accurate. The brand is well known for instruments measuring temperature. It does get hot however and the glass does get cloudy over time. Needs no batteries, and the dial is easy to read,

Taylor has always been a good name for thermometers. Im confident it's accurate, but I definitely wouldn't label it " instant read." It needs to sit in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes to get to an accurate temperature. Based on my baking results, it is accurate, and I definitely recommend it.

Flimsy construction with a hook that bends easily. Definitely NOT "instant-read." Takes just as long as any other analog oven thermometer to reach temperature. Mine arrived with the face rotated to the left. This causes a 10-20 degree error in temperature indication. I compared the accuracy to my CALIBRATED ThermoWorks DOT Instant read digital oven thermometer. But I wanted an oven thermometer that can withstand temps higher than 450F, which is the TheroWorks upper limit. Taylor is sending me a warranty replacement, but I don't expect it to be any better. Personally, I will be looking for a different brand of analog oven thermometer.
