e.l.f. Lock It Down Eyeshadow Primer, 0.23 fl oz

I have used this product for several years and like it a lot. Makes liners and shadows go on smoother and stay put longer. It is MUCH less expensive than other brands. The container has changed from a rigid cylinder to a soft tube but the product seems the same and that is a good thing!

Very good eyeshadow primer. I learned to use a tiny amount. Too much, and it will end up settling in creases and fine lines, causing eyeshadow to do the same. Once you get the amount right, it works well, keeping eyeshadow in place. A very small amount directly under lower lashes is good if you apply any shadow there too. I would buy it again.

This product goes on invisibly and makes my eye make-up stick like glue all day. Comes off well with make-up remover at days end but m make-up stays perfectly until I remove it. Wish I had found this years ago.

I usually use the Nyx Glitter Primer. That is the only primer I have ever found to really work. But that one was not available, so I ordered this E.L.F Lock It Down Primer and OMG it is amazing!! This is going to be my new go-to primer. It keeps my highly pigmented eyeshadow on throughout my 10–12-hour workday and then more after I get home for the day. Highly recommend!!

I love this stuff! It really helps keep my eyeshadow in place all day so it doesn't crease or fade over a period of several hours! Just try it! It's amazingly good!

Love that it goes on clear and keeps all types of eyeshadows in place. Which it was just a tube and not an applicator wand, as these can harbour germs.

Its supposed to be a primer and to help keep your eye shadow on all day without it fading. In my experience, it didn't work.

I don't know if it really even deserves two stars. It doesn't go on evenly. The first time I tried it, I had time to try to smooth it out with my fingers, and I used a nude brown so it didn't look too bad. I gave it 2 stars because I fell asleep with my makeup on and it only faded a little. So if you have time and patience it might be worth it for you? I used it again this morning to see if my purple eye shadow would pop out more %26 I found myself spending more time trying to fix it to blend evenly that I wound up just removing my eye shadow and starting over. I have been using ELF's liquid foundation %26 a flat small brush to apply it as a base for my eyeshadow for many years now %26 it works out okay. Was just hoping to find something that would make my eyeshadow pop out more.

Looks like it has color but is so watery going on that it feels useless. I tried 2 layers and it turned into a putty texture in areas. Did not blend well in my foundation areas, was sticky cakey. Strange for a watery product

I feel like I wasted money. The color is awful! When I put it on, it is a beige tint instead of being clear. This eye primer is not for everyone at all. When I used it it completely changed the color of my shadow. I hate it and will NEVER purchase this again!
