I've been using Elmer's wood glue for years. I have items that I have glued over 40 years ago and they are still together and have not broken apart. When I have broken them a second time, they break in a new place on the wood, not where I glued them. Cannot recommend enough.

Good !

I'm not a carpenter, but my dad was. He used more elmers glue over his 93 years of life than 93 elementary school classes would have used. He believed in elmers. I've bought this tinted 'wood glue' before - it doesn't have the shelf life of the white & doesn't seem to penetrate wood as deeply - seems like it can be pried apart without major ripping on soft woods. Bought this because 1, they had it in stock - 2, the price was significantly better than their general purpose white which apparently is in demand by youtuber's for video experiments. It cost twice the price of the ape glue price at that A store, but I was ordering some stuff from Walmart - still shocked at the prices.

non toxic no stink

April September 20, 2024

This glue is non toxic and does not have an odor. I used it to rewrap a cat scratching post because it is non toxic. the glue dries pretty quickly and my project felt securely attached once dried.

Very good for what it does

Steve716 November 20, 2025

I used two bottles to install toungue and groove flooring. It can be a bit sloppy to apply until you get the opening right, but it's easy to wipe up if done fairly quickly. It makes a nice seal in my application, however, it isn't strong enough to permanently secure transition strips in doorways or quarter round floor trim that isn't quite flush, although it works find for flush trim. I also used it for side molding on cabinets and butcher block table trim and it worked well for that. I like this better than regular wood glue for heavy duty use like flooring. Dries quickly, but not too quickly for minot repositioning.
