Emerson EPB-3000 Portable CD Player with AM/FM Stereo Radio, Blue

I like this radio/cd player a lot. I did not want a big boom box. This is a smaller version of a boom box. It comes in a choice of colors. I got blue and it comes in red as well. You can use it either with electricity or batteries for moving it around. I mainly bought it to play my old cd's that we made many years ago. The picture shows an antenna, but there is none on the machine. I have not found that one is necessary in my house. The cord on the machine is quite long. For cd's you can play, fast forward or repeat. If you shut it off the machine will start again on the track in that some place. The radio is surprisingly clear, both am and fm. I like the handle for moving it around. The price was super! This is good for adults and children.

This compact player has great sound! Plug in or batteries so it can be used anywhere. Great buy!

The CD player is surprisingly good for the price and size. It's loud enough to have in the kitchen and her throughout the house. And the quality of sound is pretty good. The radio is good too, when you zero in on a channel. That takes a little bit of work: to get exactly on the channel. Sometimes I have to work the position of the radio around to get good reception. It's compact and pretty powerful for its size.

I bought this for my 88 yo mother to listen to audio books. She's only been using it for a week, but loves it! It is small enough to fit easily on the table next to her recliner chair. It's easy for her to insert and remove CDs. The sound quality is excellent. The labeling for the buttons is small and difficult for her to read, but she really only needs to press the play/pause button. I marked that one with an asterisk so she could easily identify it and remember it. The digital display is difficult for her to see when her table light is on, but she just needs to turn it off to easily see/read it. When not being used, she does leave it in the pause mode - we're hoping that doesn't affect the life of the player, but that is the easiest way for her to be able to independently use it. She's now halfway through a 7 CD book all by herself and can't wait to go to the library to see what other audio books are available. I think we found a winner!

It works well. I don't use the radio. I use the CD player as a sleep aid. I like the buttons because they have a good feel and they placed well so that I can use them without seeing them. I gave it four stars instead of five because I have only used it a few hours. I hope that it lasts a long time. I bought it to replace my Emerson player which also worked well but it did not last.

The player works well it is a bit tinny. But it's a small player and and it's cheap. My only real complaint is that it appears to be used when I examine the battery compartment the screw at the bottom accessing the body of the player had obviously been removed. It is badly scratched in that area and slightly dented I wonder what was in it

The "fast forward" button doesn't work properly. While it did for a few days, it no longer will funcition in a way to advance the tracks. In other words if you want to skip track 1 & 2 and go directly to 3, it won't allow you to. It simply fast forwards through the entire track 1 and 2 and you don't know you are track 3 unless you stop it and listen to find out where in the CD you are.

the cord is shorting out. I haven't decided if I want to go through the hassle of returning it.

My son opened this on Christmas morning. When he took it out of the box the antenna fell off. In trying to reattach it little metal copper pieces fell out of attena and it completely fell into pieces.

Bought this for my daughter's Christmas present to listen to cds in her room. It stopped working 1 month later. Tried to return it to the company, but the process was so ridiculously complicated that I ended up just throwing it out and getting a different one that works so much better.
