I need something longer than a regular shoehorn. This one, designed with its long horn and extenders, divided into 3 easy to assemble sections plus the S shaped handle for control at a distance, lets me choose to use use approximately 1ft, 2ft, or 3 ft length depending on which footwear I am putting on and how much my back is allowing me to bend on a given day. It is light weight, durable, and sturdy. It can be stored in a space about 1 foot long X 2 inches by 3 inches. I have not yet used the full length. Even with the shortest of these, the horn part itself (at 8 inches) is longer than many shoehorns.

Just had hip replacement surgery. This tool has been very helpful getting shoes on and helping me to get dressed.

I ordered this on line to use to aid in getting my sock off as I have bone on bone in my one hip and it is painful to bend over too far. I am waiting for a hip replacement and will use it for recovery, too and the long handle shoe horn is the best!

The gadget makes getting dressed much easier if you have mobility issues such as arthritis. I use it as much for clothing as for shoes.
