the logs were heat treated, so the ones which were a little thinner burnt quickly but didn't lasted long. the thicker ones took a while to catch fire, didn't give huge flame but lasted longer. Overall these are good choice for camping or outdoor use.
I bought this firewood from Walmart for a backyard bonfire, and it was absolutely perfect! It lit up easily without any hassle, burned evenly, and didn't produce a ton of smoke like some firewood can. It lasted a good amount of time too, which made for a relaxing and fun night at home with s'mores by the fire. No complaints at all—super convenient and great quality. I'll definitely be buying this again for future bonfire nights!
This product is great and without checking Walmarts website I would've continued to purchase Duraflame's products and they aren't as organic nor product friendly to the environment!!
the logs are perfect size and light easily. But they burn up in under 30 minutes so you'll use up this box very quickly in your fireplace. 1 box lasts me about 2.5- 3 hours. They produced a fair amount of smoke. No smell though.
very inconsistent wood, it is dry aged but my box actually had a piece of a pallet in it so if you're looking for good quality hardwood this ain't it.
You have to pick through the inventory and get the heaviest cases, they contain some hardwood. But mostly all the cases have lots of sticks, 2 X 2's and 1 inch planks as long and wide as the box. On a rare occasion you will get an actual piece of a split log! I use this firewood for an occasional fire in the living room fireplace. I don't use this wood for heat, but rather ambience. I do buy several cases at a time because it's convenient. I wish it had more split hardwood.
This wood doesn't list what type of wood that it is, after purchasing 3 boxes of it . It is cedar wood and it burns very quickly it should mainly be used as a starter and in an enclosed fire place/pit because cedar shoots burning hot embers . If you use the entire box for one fire , it will only last about an hour and a half . I wish it was a mix of wood rather than just cedar .
Two pieces of hard wood in a box. Very difficult to split. because the logs were so large. One piece was mostly bark. It did burn well once we got it into the fire pit, but there weren't any additional pieces to feed the fire after the initial burn. Overall, not a great value for the money.
Don't waste your money, these are impossible to light and just waste your time and energy. I'll use multiple fire starters and the wood will smolder/charcoal but never actually light. I also received two GIANT pieces of wood with two scrap pieces of wood. Such a rip off.
i ordered this wood ahead of an unexpected cold front. I usually source and cut my own seasoned hard wood but after a hospital stay I physically wasn't able to do so. When I started burning this wood, it did, indeed, light fast as advertised, however it was so soft I have gone through an entire case in less than 3 hours and it popped so violently I had to keep the screen on the entire time it's bewn burning, vastly reducing the amount of heat coming into the room. I'll stick to cardboard and wax firelogs in an emergency going forward...Im very, very disappointed for the price.
