Equate 1 gal 250 sq ft Evaporative Humidifier, Clear

Overall it’s a fine unit, little noisier than I’d like but it’s nice to fall asleep to. My biggest fuss is probably the very bright green LED on top of the unit. It illuminates the ceiling in a dark room and you notice it. A cover for the LED or a switch to simply shut it off would be helpful. The filter/wick gets so gross so quickly. So be prepared to buy replacement filters at $10 a pop.

great product, and it works as it should. However our water is very hard out of the faucet, so I have to buy purified water in order for it to work properly. The filter clogs easily and has to be replaced very often. It works as it should but due to our water problem is pricey to run.

This machine only works for one day after filling after that it runs but sounds like it’s working,air comes out but o steam,I have changed filter cleaned well. Will send out steam then does the same thing, I would return it but no reseat because I bought it on line. I keep it running and the water will go down after 4 days

While this product *may* humidify a room over a long period of time, it is not a solution when you need immediate humidification. This is an evaporative humidifier. If you need a faster solution, look for an ultrasonic humidifier or a warm mist/vaporizing humidifier.

There is NO MIST... this is just a fan that blows cool air. I would've returned it but i threw out the box not thinking. I have read the instructions over and over- looked on you tube to make sure i was setting this up correctly. All you tube videos i saw even said do not buy this. Please save your self and get another type/model.

The inside of the water reservoir is literally melting after only a 2 weeks! See photos. This isn’t moisture on the inside. You’re looking at melting plastic sloughing off of the inside walls of the water reservoir. No chemicals were used to clean this, so there’s no reason this should’ve happened. I thought I detected a plastic smell and couldn’t locate the source. The water tank appeared to have condensation dripping down the inside walls, but when I went to rinse and clean it with warm water and a dishrag, I found that it was actually the plastic breaking down…Gooey, sticky plastic was sloughing off into the water and we’ve been breathing it for several nights. Awesome. Aside from it pushing out toxic and undetectable moisture, the design is poor. It’s 3 separate pieces, not counting the filter. It doesn’t must. It’s not that quiet. I would not recommend this humidifier. There are so many out there around the same price point that operate as they should.

The humidifier is a 'real' 'invisible' one, which means there is NO MIST generated, instead, a motor will blow the moisture from a filter. This makes the device noisy, and less effective. After 8 hrs, only 200ml water was blowed, which is not acceptable for a humidifier.

The noise level is not bad sounds like a small fan on the highest setting. It has very easy assembly but for the first 24 hours had a horrible smell and made the air feel awful in my bedroom. Smell is gone however it does not really seem like it works at all to bring the rooms humidity up. Good news is at least the tank on it doesn’t seem to leak. Otherwise worthless

With this steam humidifier you have to constantly turn the filter around so it doesn’t get dried out and burnt. The design and functionality of it is terrible. Once it dries out; after about 30 minutes, it no longer spray the mist. The water stays at the same level until you take it apart and turn the filter upside down so the top of it can get wet. %26 the water in the bottom of the tank is slimy feeling within 24 hours. Used in bedroom.

Disgusting. I was super unimpressed by the output, but after having for only 2 weeks I checked the filter and it had MOLD everywhere. I bought this for my sick newborn and we are probably worse off than we started. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT
