These are great for keeping track of your meds. Fill it up once a week. Reorder your soon to be empty meds and you're done thinking about it for another week. And if you're like me and ask yourself if your took your pills this morning, it's easy to check.
The large sections fit all of my meds morning and evening meds at once. I use 2 pill planners, 1 each for AM and PM, and can set up 4 weeks worth of meds at once. This helps me assure that I'm taking the correct doses each day (avoiding the memory issues of double dosing or missing doses). The writing erases off within a coupe weeks of use, but that hasnt been an issue for me. I LOVE that the lids on each row come off as one unit when all are opened, by pulling straight up on Wed and jiggling slightly. This makes it MUCH easier to fill add the pills. When taking a dose, be sure all other lids are snapped securely shut, so you don't lose pills. NOT 100% WATER PROOF. If you tip over a liquid near it or drop it in the sink/tub with the water running, your pills WILL get wet. But under normal use, it's fine. I'been using these for about 10 years and have only had them get wet once. TAKE EXTRA CARE NOT TO DROP PLANNER WHEN FILLED, as the lids will pop open and you'll have to collect the pills and redistribute them (takes me hours each time as I'm disabled and also have but one hand). I suggest having a duplicate set and giving the planner(s) a good scrub by hand with an old toothbrush when emptied each month, especially get into the corners. I can fill, use and clean this planner, one handed, though its faster with 2 arms. the price has more than doubled since I last purchased as set about 2 years ago .
Due to recent medical issues I now take 17 prescriptions and supplements that all have varying doses and instructions. This allows me to go ahead and sort them Saturday evening so I can confidently take all of my medications in the correct amounts and times without having to constantly refer to my doctor's instructions during the week. While I definitely never thought that this would be something I'd want to own, due to recent circumstances it now plays an important role in ensuring that I'm not screwing up my treatments.
This was a replacement for an older similar container and i like it better than the older one because all the lids open in the same direction. Makes it so much easier to fill instead of maybe spinning the box around it is much easier access. And its a good price delivery was quick. I will be ordering more soon. It handles my larger pills too.
The pill organizer works fine overall, but the compartments are too small for larger medications and supplements. It may work better for smaller pills, but I struggled fitting everything I needed into each slot. Larger sections would make this much more practical.
I have had two of these medical organizers for a decade and they both still work just fine. They are a good size for four large capsules in each compartment. Snaps shut securely. NOT at all child proof. But I have no children at home. I do not allow visiting children into my room. I have a lockbox I can piut them in when I need to. I've had others that were too small to fit a vitamin, calcium and fish oil in one compartment. Also some organizers do not close very well and pop open and spill pills all over my drawer or floor. This is the best size for me, so I bought two more so I will have a month worth . The colors fade after 5 or 10 years but the writing is still legible.. Easy to hand wash when needed.
Although this case is very durable and the compartments are large enough, it is difficult to get the pills out. The sides have no slope to "scoop" the pills, so one must dump the whole thing upside down to get the pills out. It is awkward because the case is large and bulky.
The lids open backwards to me. compartments are nice size, deep. However, the lids open all going the same way. What this does is the morning pills are dumped on top of the noon pills. To me it is a design flaw. orning and noon should both face out. evening and bedtime should face the other direction so you don't dump pills on top of pill lids. And the lids do not stay open. they want to shut. So picture this....holding the pill box, opening a lid, holding it open and then what do you do with the pills? I spread a paper towel and dump them on it. Hoping they don't roll off onto the floor! It works, but not as easy as opening a lid and dumping the pills out into your hand. Would be great if I only had 2 extra hands.
I ordered two of these. Both of them came in with the lids broken. One completely snapped off, while the other the front closure snapped off.
I have bought several of these, not because I love them, but because I continually have to replace them because they break. They need to use a better plastic. I've had 2 break on the first day. The plastic part that holds the compartment shut snaps off very easily, then door won't stay closed. I save the old ones for parts switching out the row of doors for one that hasn't broken yet. I really need to find a better quality one of these.
