I have been a Diabetic for many years. My Doctors recommended protein shakes. The Associate at Walmart recommended "Glucerna for people with Diabetes". With the high costs of everything, I could no longer afford Glucerna. Later, I was introduced to Equate Diabetic Care Nutritional Shakes, a Walmart brand. I could not tell the difference between the Glucerna and the Equate brands. Now I only purchase Equate Diabetic Care Nutritional Shakes in 3 flavors, as evidenced by my many purchases. I am thrilled with Equate Diabetic Care Nutritional Shakes over and above that of Glucerna Protein Shakes in all categories. I am glad I made the switch and told my Doctors about the difference in price, without compromise the ingredients and taste.
I love the great chocolate or strawberry cause I order both flavors. These shakes are put in well in this type of plastic bottle because it really keeps the delicious taste, fresh. It also great quality %26 such an extremely smooth taste %26 not too sugary!! I just wish the bottle would @ least be a 12 oz size %26 it's a little bit over priced for small bottles %26 for the brand.
I am elderly (78), %26 my appetite is not what it ince was. I am drinking one of these per day instead of lunch. I am diabetic, so my choices are limited, as well. This product is expensive for me, but the convenience %26 time saving aspect makes it well worth its price.
I bought the vanilla and chocolate varieties to try.I love the smoothness and the taste. They don't taste chalky or too thick, like some other brands. I'm usually full and satisfied, after drinking one. I have purchased these twice and I plan to go back and purchase more.
the case of it is never available. Always out of stalk. but they will have single packs at a night price and won't give it to you when you try to purchase amount of the larger amount by using smaller amount units
The bottle says it is "easy open". It is far from easily opened! I had to use scissors to cut the wrapping and a pair of pliers to unscrew the cap! This might be okay if someone else is opening the bottle or you are in the kitchen with plenty of gadgets, but I am 72 years old and bed-ridden most of the time. I also use this type of drink when I am out and about to prevent sudden sugar drops or to use while traveling. This would NOT be a good product to carry out with you!
These shakes are marketed as a smart choice for people with diabetes, but the ingredient list tells a different story. Despite the branding, they're packed with artificial sweeteners, thickeners, and other additives that don't align with a truly health-conscious or whole-food approach. It's frustrating to see products like this positioned as “diabetic-friendly” when they're really just ultra-processed drinks with a health halo. If you're trying to manage blood sugar or just eat cleaner, there are far better ways to get balanced nutrition—like real food or simpler protein sources without all the fillers.
Walmart really sucks. They cannot even deliver a three-count of chocolate Equate protein shakes.....unavailable. What a lie. The people that buy and steal all of off the shelves resell it and Walmart says.....the product is unavailable What a crock!
These were great. They actually helped with sugar spikes and had the nutrients and tasted great. Now if you try to order them you will get some generic "lower sugar" chocolate drink. They don't even let you know they are making a substitution or give you the option to cancel. Buy at your own risk.
The taste is awful. I barely got one down. The others will sit in my fridge until some desperate soul grabs one and instantly regrets it like I did. As for being good for diabetes, not sure because after drinking one I had to drink a soda to get the taste out of my mouth.
