This is the only item like this, and it's hard to find. I love that Walmart has a generic one. You get way more than tagamet for the price. Please always keep this item and try to keep the price down.I've noticed over the years. It keeps jumping. Oh, and by the way, it really works lol. It works better than famotidine. I have to take like 4 to 6 famotidines to equal the relief of one or two of these.
It's the only anti acid that works for me …. Of course every one is different. But this work well whether I just ate or drank something or acid just crept up on me….. pop two pills, in 10 minutes it's disappeared.
This is the only medication that truly relieves my husband's acid reflux. We've tried several other brands, but none have been as effective. This one consistently delivers the best results.
Same as the name brand. I highly recommend! No problem for our household with whatever fillers are used, not with the major competitor “Am” site's formula…
These are the only acid pills that works on my acid reflux/gerd. I need the 200mg instead of the lower mg that other acid reducers are. Don't hesitate to purchase these, they're amazing!
This is the best price and value on cimetidine that I have found ANYWHERE! This is also one of the few heartburn medications out there that truly helps me. It's really a wonderful medication that has been around for a long time. As it gets more and more expensive, this will continue to be my choice for cimetidine.
Believe it or not, I take this as an antihistamine. Prescribed by my oncological hematologist since my verrrry rare skin disease (mastocytosis) can evetually cause leukemia. Loratadine (an H1 Blocker) alone was not keeping my allergies/masto under control. The addition of cimetidine did the trick. Grateful for this OTC generic which is an H2 Blocker! Not just for acid reduction, consider this for allergies if your standard H1 Blocker is not doing the job for you.
Greet this used to be prescription and it used to cost a ton of money, which is why it's a great value him
Cimetidine is one of the best acid reducers available OTC. I find it to be as effective as the name brand at a much lower cost. Plus, its cheaper than the Amazon version of the same dose and quantity for the exact same tablet. It also has other interesting and important off-label uses. Don't take my word for it, simply Google Cimetidine Off label uses, then follow the results of real scientific and medical results at PUBMED and the National Institutes of Health.
I have used the Equate Cimetidine tablets several times in the past as an alternative to Tagamet, and my earlier experiences with them had all been positive overall. The tablets were a reasonable size, easy to swallow, and previously did not have any unusual smell or aftertaste. We keep them around mainly for mild acid reflux, heartburn, and stomach upset. They are also helpful for when acid reflux or stomach upset accompanies a scratchy throat from post nasal drip, for mild migraine discomfort, or for menstrual pains. While they don't help with those specific things, they are helpful for an upset stomach that might come along with them. This most recent experience was very different, though. Both bottles I received had an extremely strong odor that smelled almost like old eggs or a bottle of very strong vitamins. What concerned me most was that I had never noticed any scent with previous bottles, and these also appeared like they may have been opened even though the packaging and seals were still there. Because of that, I really was not comfortable having my family take them, and felt more comfortable replacing them instead. I even ordered the 60 count version afterward thinking maybe it was just an issue with one specific batch, but those had the exact same smell as well. I did look into it and saw that cimetidine is known to occasionally have a strong odor, but since this had never happened before with this brand, it still felt concerning. That said, prior bottles had been effective for helping reduce acid and ease stomach upset associated with heartburn and reflux symptoms. I also appreciated that the larger 120 count bottle lasted a long time and were convenient to keep on hand when needed. I am hoping this was just a temporary manufacturing or packaging issue because my earlier experiences with these had been much better overall.
