I kept seeing reviews saying they don't stick well. I've found that if you put them on greasy skin they don't, but if you use an alcohol pad and clean the area (the alcohol dries the skin) the patch sticks without issue. The patches work. They itch a bit but all the brands do that. It's not this particular brand.
After 50 years I decided to quit smoking. Only the second time I have tried and first time I didn't use nicotine substitute. I also didn't quit for more than 30 days. This time I am into third month smoke free and committed to making it all the way... looking forward to the freedom of being a non smoker.
They do their job, they hit better than Nicoderm for like half the price. Let’s talk about all these people in here with negative reviews. Redness, yeah. If it bothers you, def don’t use any patches at all of any brand, but the box literally tells you that’s a thing that’s probably going to happen. Rashes, valid. That’s awful. For everyone complaining that they don’t stick, what a wild way to admit on the internet that you don’t bathe and/or are greasy. The box literally tells you to apply to CLEAN, dry skin. Alcohol wipes are your friend. But only after you bathe. Anyways these patches are top tier. People mostly just can’t read or refuse to read, and then run to the internet to complain to gooble about how alexa sold them a bad product or something.
Breaking the rules but i’ve been mostly using these for three years with 5-2mg great value gum as well. Better than smoking health wise. They stick best on my shoulder blades (i work hot sweaty jobs) I rotate from one side to the other daily. I quite smoking after wisdom tooth removal with no insurance. Didn’t want to deal with a dry socket. Sucked for first week or so but once you get through it you don’t feel as edgy as when smoking if you stick with just these. If you want to give up nicotine all together that up to you. 21mg patch plus 10mg from the gum (5 ish pieces) is significantly lower than 10-12mg per cigarette. I was a pack a day smoker before these (200mg a day). Stick issues sometimes maybe once or so a month i have to replace mid day.
Highly encourage others to go for the equate brand nicotine patch. Compares to the brand name product but even better. The brand name causes me to itch in the area it’s applied while the Equate brand does not. I have tried other cheaper alternatives and they do not stop my cravings. The Equate brand is a much lower price and delivers on stopping my cravings.
I've tried every nicotine patch from grocery store and pharmacies. The Walmart nicotine patch is the best. It stays stuck through a shower and sweating. I only mentioned sweating because I live in hot Houston TX! Most important thing is the really do control cravings. Try the Equate fruit gum, it really helps during those beginning cravings.
I’ m not using these to quit smoking. I cut each patch into 3 pieces and use for increased focus and energy. It is also a great appetite suppressant. I have tried 3 other generic brands that cost I small amount less than the equate brand…what I realized very quickly is….the others do not stay on as well…and NONE of the others worked as well. Great product!
I've successfully used these in the past. They make quitting so much easier. My only complaint is that the adhesive doesn't always stick around the edges, which can lead to them falling off if you don't notice it. I got some medical tape to go with it this time, and it's worked well.
These patches left horrible rashes on me! Some rashes have been there for a week now. They itch and I’m having to treat the skin. The skin is raised and irritated. I cut them into strips for overall health. I’ve used other brands without a problem. I was able to return the rest of them for a refund so that was nice.
These are so stiff, like having a plastic piece of material stuck to you. Then the itchng starts because it is apparently made with some kind of toxic material. Swelling, blisters, then scabbing, itching continuously. Stick to the Rugby or some other name brand product, this is definitely not worth the savings.
