Equate Zinc Chewable Tablets, Citrus Flavor, 25 Count for Cold Symptom Relief

I really enjoy the citrus orange flavor. They have a yummy taste. I can utilize them as lozenges or just chew them up... gotta love options! I have zinc deficiency issues so this is convenient. But also during cold and flu season it's nice to toss one in my mouth before heading into a crowded venue. Zinc on the tongue helps to repel gnarly germs in one's environment.

First sign of a cold I take a tablet and it typically never materializes any further. If the cold does develop I keep taking the tablets for the first 3 days and it shortens the length of the cold. When I don't do any of this my colds hang on forever. Love the taste of the tablet which is a plus. I keep myself stocked up on them so they are always available.

Chewed first dose within 24 hours of symptoms first starting. Needed to take six doses and worked quite well. Half the price of the name brand. Taste was good considering it's hard to cover up the taste of zinc.

Equate zinc and vitamin C tablets - these look like and taste like the national brand and work just as well but much cheaper. i feel like they really do help reduce the duration for a cold.

I love these. Any time I have a tickle in my throat or feel any sign of beginnings of illness. Taking these every 3 hours immediately help relieve those symptoms and keeps the illness from progressing. Or if I'm lazy/forget and do get sick, these help to get that illness to pass sooner. I used to have colds for a minimum of 2 weeks once one caught me. Now maybe 3 days. I love zinc.

It works very well. I started getting cold symptoms on Sunday. Started taking it daily and upped the dosage when I started to get really sick on Tuesday. Today's Wednesday and I'd say my symptoms have subsided 90%. Very effective. Just need to take it as soon as symptoms start.

This was my first year buying these. As a mom of three, I wanted to help keep our family a little less sick this year. One of my kids prefers the cherry flavor over the citrus one. As an adult, it's fine. It melts relatively fast in your mouth or you can chew it to speed up the process. I do actually think this kept us from being sick more through the Fall and Winter months. If I felt something coming on I'd start the Zinc tablets. I did the same with the rest of the family. Also, if someone in our house came down with something I chose to pass them out so the rest of us might avoid it. However, I'm not crazy about the dye or the sucralose used in these. The dye is truly unnecessary. Here's to hoping 2026 is a year that leads to better product ingredients.

i dont think this helped my bad cold at all. i have sensitivity to fake sugars and the sorbitol and sucralose caused pretty bad cramping and diarrhea within half hour of taking this four times. i would not bother taking again or recommending to anyone.

Seems to help alleviate symptoms but texture/taste is very chalky. Zicam is easier to take and tastes better, but it's also costs about twice as much as Equate

I should have looked closer, this is useless aside from its effect as a placebo. It's a homeopathic product with some unknown (and inadequate) amount of elemental zinc in it. The research studies use 75mg of elemental zinc in lozenge form (5-7 lozenges a day), which you're not gonna get from this.
