eufy Security Video Doorbell E340 with Battery

Very happy with the doorbell, although, for some reason not compatible with the existing door bell charm in my house, we added on the chime. It works very well.

I picked this camdoorbell because it has advanced features and wasn't too terribly expensive. I'm letting the battery drain all the way down before I charge it back up and so far, it's been about 5 months since install. Camera resolution is very clear and the voice when away is very clear and in real time. Very happy with this purchase.

Purchased 2 of these as replacements for my ring camera set up, I was tired of paying subscription fees to see who was coming to my door each day. Product is well built, battery usage is terrible. I have the settings so it almost never activates, unless there is someone in front of the unit, due to the battery lasts about 24 hours before needing replaced and recharged. Battery replacement is a pain in the neck, you have to remove the unit from its holder to replace the battery and they provide you with a sim style removal tool. The tool is flimsy and bends out of shape quickly. The app is a bit wonky in being able to review the video the unit has taken, though the quality of the video is good.

If you are not tech savvy or don't have anyone to assist you with installation of this device I DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you do get this installed and then purchase a home base it needs to be uninstalled in order to get it to connect to the home base and then reinstall doorbell. I paid $129.00 for initial installation and now I'll have to pay someone again. I'm 78 years old

The Eufy E340 with hub worked relatively fine, with the exception that Life feed cut off after five minutes. I got rid of my ring due to it. Cutting off the live feed in eight minutes. There is not a Eufy video doorbell that has continuous feed per their support reps. I went with a Reolink instead, which has a much clearer picture and continuous live feed. One thing I did like about the Eufy was the dual camera for viewing if packages are left on the doorstep but the five minute live feed was a dealbreaker for me.

Very disappointing. I bought this to replace my Ring doorbell camera. But the Eufy is very difficult to set up: I spent 2 afternoons on it and it still won't sync with other devices. It is not compatible wit a desktop computer using Firefox browser and in Chrome, you have to enter a pin to see the camera view, which means you can't get instant access. It appears to be incompatible with Excho Show, as well. So you're stuck using your cell phone for all views of the camera. If you want this to replace a Ring doorbell, don't do it!

This doorbell looks well built. Good quality material and feel solid. However there is activity zone function where it should capture the video when there is motion detected in this zone. The reality is that sometimes it doesn't record the video when there is motion in the zone. Sometimes it records the video when there is motion outside of the zone. The overall accuracy is about 50% to 60%. In addition there is 3-4 seconds of delay in recording after detection of motion.

This product arrived without the doorbell chime, even though, I paid for it. Had to call Eufy to get the chime. Incorrect chime was sent. Had to get another one. Doorbell divided camera does not give a great picture. Constantly going off like if a human is at the door when no one there. Chime keeps going off evening to night stating that the security has to be set up. Have tried to set up with Eufy to no avail. Having trying to work with this camera. Would like a full refund. Night vision on it is not that great either.

Don't buy through walmart.com. Item went on sale at a lower prices days after my purchase on walmart.com, also elswhere was a much better price so I purchased them a 2nd time for the lower price elsewhere since walmart.com won't price match. Eufy is being hesitant on taking the items back even though the boxes have not been opened. They insist I must pay return shipping. Thanks Eufy for much less than stellar customer service, Walmart.com said I have 30 days for returns and nothing about returns ONLY if there is a defect.

I specifically asked before i bought this doorbell about it being in the sun before i purchased it and they said it wouldn't be a problem. As soon as it hits 80 degrees outside and the sun hits it. The doorbell overheats. Keep in mind my placement is away from the sun up untill 6pm at night. When the sun goes down, until that time it's fully shaded all day. I asked the questions before i bought the doorbell because where i live it get all over 100 degrees outside during the summertime. I will add photos for proof if it allows me to with my review, that being said i have had multiple brands of video doorbells and none of them overheated.
