I bought and just received this blue salt because I’ve heard a lot about the benefits of the Persian blue salt. This mineral-rich salt is full of essential minerals, like magnesium (which helps to regulate blood sugar levels and supports healthy bones and muscles), calcium (which is essential for strong bones and teeth), and potassium (which is important for maintaining healthy heart function). I was very curious about the taste of the blue salt. So, I tried it immediately after receiving it. I can best describe the taste as clean, crisp, and slightly minerally. It creates a harmonious balance between flavor and texture. Unlike other types of salt, which can sometimes taste harsh or overly salty. It has a delicate flavor that perfectly complements a wide range of dishes. You know, to me adding Persian Blue Salt into your meals is like giving your taste buds a trip to a luxury spa. You can use it for different foods like:
This is excellent tasting salt and my favorite salt to use currently. it has no bitterness at all like other high potassium salts i've used. i especially like the potassium sodium ratio in this one (na260/k200 per 1/4 tsp). the coarse grind is perfect as a finishing salt, but i use it in cooking as well. i also use it to make jerky.
For salt it seems expensive, but I don't know anything about how much costs is involved to get it from the Earth, packaged and shipped!
The flavor is salt. But has that slight subtle potassium bite. I bought this for the grinder and to test it out. My next round, is to buy the bulk bag of blue salt and reuse the grinder.
Requires very little to hint at salty taste. Sodium plus potassium, what a combo.
It is a great flavor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never heard of nor seen blue salt before so I was really excited to try this new salt with all of the healthier claims. The fact that it is and harvested and higher in potassium than normal salt with less sodium than a traditional salt makes me feel better about consuming this. I love the fact that this is also un processed so it stays in its most natural state. The actual taste when added to recipes and food was great in the sense that it did not leave that high salt flavor or taste/aftertaste which has occurred with a few other salts that are more processed. This will definitely continue to be a conversation piece when we host get together for dinners etc. having this as a garnish on meals or placing it in our salt grinder similar to a pepper grinder that is see through.
Third time I have purchased these items for donation to a family assistance organization. Always packed with efficiency and care. Product is a well made product.
This salt will have to be used in cooking. It is a rock salt. I put a couple granules on my tongue just to enjoy the flavor and salt. Not chewable. As suggested to me to use certain words. One would not sprinkle this salt on food, It has great depth of flavor. It could be added to veggies when cooking. Not sure it would be easy to use on steaks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Eupherbia Blue Salt is a visually striking and flavorful addition to any dish. With its coarse texture and hints of blue minerals, it stands out not only for its aesthetic but also as a natural source of potassium. The salt enhances the taste of food beautifully. Its subtle mineral complexity elevates simple recipes, making it a versatile ingredient in the kitchen. Highly recommended for both its unique appearance and excellent taste.
