This was definitely a great purchase! The only thing I didn't like was that you have to have a power source for it to work. However, since we had one, this was definitely a great buy. I used it several times until my battery had to be changed. In a world where people aren't willing to help or give a jump like the old days, it is great to have your own. I can't believe I was actually a female by myself in a grocery store parking lot trying to jump my car, and no one would even check to see if I was ok. I even asked someone to give me a jump with the set of cables in my car and was told no. I was even more grateful when this product finally jumped my car on its own.
Bought to jumpstart my car batter after I left the lights on all day. Worked like I wanted but I didn't drive the car around to properly charge the battery. I had to use it the 2 days later to fully charge the battery. It took less than 8 hrs and car cranked without an issue
This is a must for everyone that owns a vehicle. This device does it all from checking your battery life to the strength of your alternator. The only problem is the directions aren't the best. Make sure you have your correct battery type picked out prior to charging it. It's great to use in the colder months when batteries need an extra boost. Plus you can't beat Walmarts price!
I found it to be cumbersome and difficult to use as i had no idea what they were putting in the user manual as it was scant. id need a mechanic to explain how to use it. This was supposed to replace a pocket charger that you just hookup and turn on, im getting another one of those
wont charge DEAD batteries..... must have 2 volts
engine start function did not work. charging worked, but very slowly. I returned it after using the one a neighbor had and seeing how they should work.
I've had this charger for about 6 mths now... It will NOT help start a vehicle using the "jump" mode. I've tried to "fix" over a dozen batteries per the "recondition" button but not a single one (and some were actually still charging) seemed to improve. The ONLY thing this seems to do is simply to charge my batteries... I would not waste my money on it had I known the above... I am hoping to help others not waster their money... Branchwater Farm
If I can rate this 0, I would. I needed this to charge my car battery, It is a new battery that was totally dead because my car was waiting to be repaired. I left it charging overnight over 12 hours! In the morning it still said charging. Put the battery in my car and it was still dead, and yes I followed the instructions. Ordered a different charger, my battery was fully charged in 3 hours. This charger is total garbage.
hooked to battery. showed message "reconditioning" waited 2 hours, it never charged the battery. Directions say; "if reconditioning continues longer than 5 DAYS the battery may be bad" What? Most chargers indicate 'bad battery' when you hook them up. When I hook my battery to a battery charger it is because I want my battery charged. I don't wat to wait hours to days.
It appears to not work. It says the battery is full, goes into reconditioning mode automatically but when I check the voltage, it says it's at 2 V. The battery is new. If it's at 2 V, then the unit should be charging it with 15amp of current.
