So far this charger has been great. Turn on and connect for Lithium batteries, make one selection for agm batteries and forget. Also features reconditioning option for batteries. I didn't give it five stars on durability because I recently acquired the device.
after searching for a charger that could charge ALL battery types I came across this Stanley that is absolutely the easiest charger I've used! you simply connect to battery and plug in the unit and it automatically checks the battery and will alert you if you accidentally connect the battery wrong plus it will charge lithium batteries which many chargers don't do. unit is lightweight but feels well made
Just recd car battery today/05-01. Too soon to review item as have no experience with item to date. Purchase made based upon 'Stanley' name and reputation else where.
When I first got the package, i picked it and went, ugh... The package was so light. If you ever owned a older battery charger, they are pretty heavy. But this new one was very light. Ok I'm skeptical. But I plugged it in and charged my car battery and did it quicker than the old style and has more features. So far so good. Time will tell about durability. I did buy the 3 year insurance plan, because of the $100.00 price tag. It's worth the 6 bucks lol. If you're on the fence, give it try. I'm happy with it.
This is my second unit, opened up first one and just before I plugged it in i heard a slight noise and its a freaking screw inside shaking around. Returned it to Walmart and couldn't exchange it, new policy. Purchased another one, at checkout for 15 minutes but I does the job charging my lipo battery.
I use this charger to occasionally charge a LiFePo 500Ah battery bank during off-peak hours. It's worked reliably, without issue, for about 4 months. Notes to consider: No power switch. The charger turns on when plugged. The default battery type is Lithium when turned on, so this charger is geared more towards lithium batteries. It's fine to briefly have the setting on lithium when you already have the charger hooked to a lead battery, and turn on the plug-in the charger; the only difference is the cutoff voltage. The charge rate is solely automatic and dependant on the state of charge of the battery, you cannot select the charge rate. The maximum charge rate, ~25 amps, is when the battery voltage (in a lithium battery) is below 13 volts. The charger can put out up to 25.6 amps, which is above its listed current rating. At around 25 amps of charging current, the charger draws ~5.09 amps max and 603 VA, and consumes 404 watts, which calculates into a power factor of 0.67 (which is a very inductive load). The conversion efficiency (from AC wattage to DC wattage) is about 86.2%, which is better than Harbor Freight's Viking 15 amp charger at.
Bought tbis to replace my husbands old one, same brand. This is a little bit of a step up. He has used itfor side by side and mower already. Loves it!
this is a very good product and works best with battery that have lower volts than recommended, it did not help charging my 12v lifepo4 battery for some reason. but otherwise i believe it is a good charger, it is heavy and maybe an portability concern? it is noisy too! but overall good charger thou
Absolutely unusable. has to be plugged into the wall to do anything and the cord is not long enough to run from any outlet to a car outside. i took my battery out of my car to charge it inside only to find you need an additional part to charge it outside of the vehicle. Complete waste of money and time and I'm still stranded
Not sure if this was a lemon but only worked 1 time before stopping. Not impressed with ease of controls either.
