Expert Gardener Digital Soil Moisture, Light, and pH Meter

Got it to test potting soil for blueberries and first reading said my pootting soil was slightly alakaline. --pH meter was reading between 7 and 8. Been using all sorts of amendments and not able to get it down, but that does take time. Just got some peat moss and was planning to repot everything. The pH of the peat moss? Between 7 and 8, vinegar, between and 8 -the pH meter never worked

I was charged for the moisture meter and when I got home it was nowhere to be found. When I try to get my refund they're are no option for me to chose to get a refund. Mostly all the options are meaningless and are hardly relevant. Walmart expects me to return an item, I never received now or 30 days from now. I was charged for an item that I never received. Am I suppose to check all the bags contents before they're put in my trunk by the Walmart employee for my online order. Because once you get home and you don't receive the items you pay for is a bummer itself, however. then the only options you have to are to return it. Really how I'm gonna do that? Come on people common sense here.

This was suppose to measure sunlight....I thought how many hours in a day so I could plant something needing 6-8 hours....like what a gardener needs. But this item measure light during a moment, like a photographers measurement. The Ph and wet/dry is fine. But I wanted to use it to measure sunlight over a 24 hour day. No instructions on package, so I couldn't research. -- a gardener

the measurements worked well and was easy to understand the readout. the stake broke the first day of using it though so that wasn't helpful. not sure if it was user error, but it really shouldn't have broken just from putting it in the ground and removing it b

It works. It's easy to read. Good for the price. But to be honest, the material coat doesn't look promising, but for $5 you get an idea of your soil's moisture and pH level. I did mean to get something for temperature but don't think it's necessary unless you are working compost.

This is a nice unit and is perfect for the begginer at a price that fits. I wouldn't recommend it for a more advanced person who is needing data at a more specific level. 👍

Used one day. Water condensation got on the inside viewing plastic because it's not water resistent. It should be sealed better. For $11 it worked one day.

the package was destroyed the item was broken and rusty you said you would send a replacement and you did not, what can i say you people suck at what you do. and i will think twice if i ever order from you again.

Skip the DIY hacks and just buy this! It's simple, fast, and does triple duty. Huge time saver for any gardener. 4/5 stars only because I wish the screen was larger.

The tester works well for reading moisture. I have not used or verified the ph readings. I would suggest angling the indicator head to make it easier to see from the top - when you press the prongs into the ground.
