Expert Gardener Metal Female Hose Mender

this was very easy, straight forward to replace the end section of my garden hose that connects to the hose bib. Make sure you cut out broken section of hose evenly using sharp scissors or knife. The only issue I have is that this is copper colored metal. It is not stainless steel or solid copper and feels slightly cheap and lightweight. I will use this because it does work, but will look for either a copper mend k8t or stainless steel one. It does work perfectly after installing it and doesn't leak around the hose clamp that was included. I was worried that I may not be strong enough to tighten hose clamp down enough and it would leak, but I was happy I tightened it successfully on first attempt when attaching it to the hose bib.

This hose mender is easy to use. I am old and have weak hands, but was still able to get it inserted in the hose almost all the way in. Works great - way to save money by not having to buy a whole new hose.

wife purchased one in the store and she was able to easily use to attach and repair the hose...but she need the male end. She didn't know the difference. We will replace but keep this one as a spare.

i requested a 1" female hose mender. Not till i had it out of its security band and my hose cut did i realize i didnt get what i ordered. making it work for now. please check my order. Honestly i could be mistaken, if not id like the one i ordered.. i got a ¾ %26 ⅝" female mender

Nice quality brass fitting but supplied clamp sucks. Will not tighten enough to stay on hose leak free because when you try, the clamp breaks! Had to use my own clamp.

I say no to recommendation for the flimsy small hose clamp. It did not tighten good being jus when you think its tight it pops its grip an will not stay tight. I say to make this work go on an plan to buy a wider/stronger clamp to properly make repair.

Leaked like crazy, did not work at all. Should not be sold.
