I used to get another brand. Wasn't great and had alot of green stains on me when I used it THIS took root right away and I am going to have grass ! I put a bag of soil on the areas that had nothing. i didn't expect much but still gave it a try . I have grass Omgoodness. Nice green in the shade even. I will definitely get more and regrow more! Dog's approved too. I'm old school and can't afford pallets of yard brought in .I want grass and I got it! Wonderful product!
Planted this during fall, going green and pretty don’t know what’s gonna happen during the summertime or the spring but planted this fall and it grew just like it didn’t wanna stop. But you must use a aerator a hand aerator suggested to drop the seeds in the hole just not throwing them on the ground and they will grow nice and pretty.
Ok needed to replace a large section of my lawn since we built a rain drain and man ruined our lawn in the process since thru dirt all over rather then separate dirt on tarp. But our fault for not getting professional drain guy since we wanted to save %26 we’re on a budget. Thankfully drain worked but lawn was tore up from dirt and tons of water he used. I thought Wal mart seed maybe too good to be true since I couldn’t find any reviews on this brand, but this big bag was exactly what we needed and omg it worked. My husband didn’t believe me %26 Said you’re wasting your time and money. It’s not going to work. But yes it worked, I just put on gloves and scooped a plastic red cup of seed and used my hand to sprinkle seed all over damaged lawn and places in my lawn that wasn’t growing. I watered 1 time a day, sometimes 2 but you must water it to make sure seed is moist touching dirt. Main area was shaded and all grass is still growing it’s been 2 months and lawn is almost brand new. And even in sunny areas new lawn is grown. I highly recommend this grass seed for anyone looking to grow grass. Price is right and this (no name) unknown brand to me was legit and awesome. I still have tons of seed left. Note in areas grass was growing and next was bare. I came next day and added more seed and watered the new seed I put down. So in total I came back about 4 times to add kore seed to certain areas wind blew and grass wasn’t growing. Now it’s growing nice. Spread seed evenly and try not to have piles of 3-4 seeds all bunched together. Spread it %26 don’t overdo it. You can come back in a few days and add more seed if it’s not growing. Buy this now. It’s the bomb! Backyard mom on a budget who wants a nice yard!
I have a very small yard. I poured this seed all over and the very next day I saw growth. Now it has been about 5 days and I need a lawnmower. There are not many bare spots, but if mowing doesnt cover it up with cut grass, I will just buy some more of this fantastic grass seed.
I was convinced by a review I saw from a buyer. I told my husband about it and was skeptical of course. He seeded the backyard and boom, 4 days later he saw tiny green things in all those "bolb" spots we had. The grass is looking so lush and green now. Love it! We've bought 3 bags
This cheap grass seed produced grass relatively quickly. Within a week we had a decent amount of grass. It's a bit patchy, hopefully it will come in thicker over time. Not totally weed free though. In this grass I have a good amount of carpetweed now and I've never had that before. In about 3 months I'll put some weed and feed on it, so it's not the end of the world, just be prepared
This grass seed grows quickly and established well when I planted it in March. However, despite being marketed for both sun and shade, it struggled once the Southern California summer heat arrived. It was growing great until mid-June, when the grass began drying out in the areas with full sun exposure. I would recommend this seed for yards that receive partial shade or limited direct sunlight rather than all-day sun. I used to soil and it helped it grow fast within a week.
I usually don't bother with bad reviews I just don't buy it, whatever 'it' is again, but this was the first time Walmart didn't stand behind the product, they wanted me to bring the product back to the store! THE SEEDS ARE IN MY YARD! The bag is in the dump by now, how can I return it to the store for refund!?
Followed the instructions to the letter, planted on Friday April 3rd, continuous watering as per instructions. Germination period 7-14 days, this is the 20th day and there is no visible sprouts of grass. Very disappointing considering all the work and watering expense for "no results".
I used it as directed, no matter what I did it didn't help any. maybe there's something else you're supposed to do to support the use of it, but I didn't find anything online. I even went to the website. Yeah, this stuff is not worth the money, even though it seems inexpensive. That's why it's inexpensive. And I feel like it didn't give me the amount of coverage, it said it did on the bag. It barely made it 3 fourths of the way of what it says it covers, and i immediately noticed that it wasn't going to cover enough of the area.
