Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Bermudagrass, 1 lb.

I live in Texas, where heat and stubborn trees make it tough to get grass to take root. After my HOA complained about the patchy spots in my yard, I grabbed Scotts Turf Builder Bermudagrass Seed hoping for a quick fix — and it really delivered. Within two weeks, I saw noticeable growth, even in the problem areas under my tree where grass usually struggles. I followed the instructions closely, kept it watered, and it filled in faster than I expected. The new grass came in thick, green, and healthy-looking. Texas lawns are no joke to maintain, but this seed definitely impressed me. If you're dealing with shady or challenging spots and need quick results, this is absolutely worth a try.

It's 6am and maybe my coffee hasn't hit yet or maybe I'm dreaming. But I planted this seed TWO DAYS ago and it is sprouting out of the ground like rent was due yesterday. This grass has somewhere to BE. It saw the sun and said “say less”. This ish should be called “instant lawn” or come with a warning label so you don't walk outside befuddled at 6am like I am. The bag is smaller than I thought it would be, but my goodness, great things come in small packages because the coverage and density is chefs kiss. I laid fresh soil down before planting and watered it twice! And here I am running to leave a review because I still can't believe my eyes. Rating this product 10 out of 5 stars… buy it.

After 2 weeks the grass has come through evenly throughout where I planted! The 1lb bag doesn't go very far, but that's expected with such a small bag. More for patches filing in vs a large area. Quality is better than others I've tried. Picture included shows the area that the bag covered, the dark spots with the topsoil in the picture.

This is really good grass seed we live in a hot climate and it's hard to grow grass seed. This grew really fast and filled in all the bare spots, but I recommend it to anyone that's very hearty.

I'll plant in February catching the last snow. So as of today 1/2/26, haven't planted yet. I have a patch of this beautiful grass and I hopping for much more by this additional platting.

I blame myself. I've been fooled twice before, expecting something to be a bit bigger, and then finding out it was way smaller than anticipated. This one is so small it can fit in the palm of my hand. I expected a much bigger package. This simply will not do the job.

Applied according to Directions on the bag, maybe only half of the seeds have sprouted. Not happy with the results. Don't know if it was an old package of seed. I don't have the package anymore to see the Date %26 Lot%23 on the package. Wife threw it out package. Watered every day according to the package. Waited for the time spread on the package.

There were three labels on the backside slapped on.. I tried everything in vain to peel them off so I could know what setting to configure the Scott's Spreader (hand pushed); because those labels covered everything on the backside. There were two bald spots or patches in my yard. So I had to calculate the setting. at %231 wasn't enough, %232 wasn't enough. I should have just opened the bag and hand thrown them into the bald spots. I did hoe the area and had approximately 1.5 inches deep and after fighting with attempts trying to figure out what setting I was supposed to use, added the grass starter fertilizer, shuffled my feet across to bury it, and watered the area heavily. Next morning, the birds ate up all the seeds and flew away! The labels that Scott slapped on the backside was "how much was actual seed", and how much was "weeds", and food. Only a few sprouted. There's no way for me to return the package and I do not understand why Scotts covered the entire backside the instructions!

There has been no grass growth even after two weeks since seeding, so I don't think it worked.

I planted this grass seed about a month ago. All I have is weeds growing were the seed was planted. I followed instructions to the letter but got no results. Do not buy this product, you will greatly disappointed.
