My husband is a grill guy (we have 4) and he wanted a pellet smoker but I said NO WAY.. Then while shopping for his birthday, I found this unit with a grill AND a pellet smoker... I am making him give away his current gas grill and we now do not have to have another grill on the patio. He was excited and built it right away and already did some smoked pork chops on the pellet smoker.. I must say, they turned out great. He's happy and I'm happy as well.. This is a nice unit at a great price
I have been wanting a Pellet grill but was scared to buy ONLY a pellet smoker and then I found this combo gas/pellet at Walmart and I just set it up this week and smoked and grilled my first meal. I smoked a tri-tip and grilled all the accompaniments on the grill. This is a nice set up and now I have a Pellet smoker
This was pretty easy to put together. Husband and son had it done in about 1.5 hours. Cooks great. And is easy to move around from under patio.
Well after finally getting this grill put together finally figuring out the instructions lol I used the grill several times works great as expected. However I finally got brave enough to try out the pellet grill smoker and did a shoulder pork roast I have to tell you it came out great we loved it Waiting to try out some brisket and ribs Great purchase
Do yourself a favor and buy this grill/smoker! Don’t let the assembly book and all the parts overwhelm you… this was fast and super easy to put together! It took two of us 30 minutes to put together. Everything came very well packed and easily was identifiable. It looks and feels very durable. It’s perfect that we have just one appliance that does grilling and smoking instead of a separate grill and a smoker taking up tons of space! My husband does most the grilling and smoking so I was a little nervous I’d mess up the smoker part because I don’t smoke things often ha. But I used this last weekend and it was super easy and everything came out great! Don’t second guess buying this. Just do it!
I was researching pellet grills and they are expensive. I found this on WM.com and bought it… Now that I have the combo, I can use gas and pellets and do not have to have multiple items. First off, the grill came packaged so well it could be dropped off the Empire State Building and not have a scratch on it. Very impressive packaging. It took me about 1 hour to assemble by myself. The instructions and diagrams were pretty good. Once assembled, it was very easy to light, and I was impressed by how quickly the grill side heated up. (650 degrees in 5 minutes). I let it burn for about a half hour just to burn off any protective oils or coatings that may be used when manufactured. I cooked a couple burgers to perfection in about 8 minutes, then turned up the flames to self-clean. After 10 minutes the drippings were pretty much gone. For the smoker unit, I purchased hickory pellets, and it only took about 10 minutes to complete the startup phase for smoke. Once it was going, I could hear the auger turning every few minutes to pull in more pellets. It used about 4 cups of pellets in a half hour. I cooked some chicken tenderloins at 375 degrees, and they were done in about 1 hour. There was some smoke flavor but for true smoked flavor it would take a lower temperature for several hours. I will update this once I have had a chance to do a larger piece of meat for a longer duration of time. All in all, this grill is very solidly built and has a quality feel and appearance to it. It is very easy to maneuver with the swivel casters which makes it easy to store in tight spaces. I give this grill five stars and 2 thumbs up.
I've had this grille for about a year now and have learned a lot. The benefit of having both the smoker and grille are great. There are normally two of us but sometimes have family over too. The cooking surface is fairly small on both sides but I don't use a lot of propane or pellets. Use the smoker for ribs, pork shoulder, and chicken. Even cooked burgers on a griddle on the smoker side. All turned out great. Found out you want to keep the heat plate fairly clean between cooking or there's a higher chance for a grease fire. Always use master blend pellets and don't see an easy way to switch pellets in hopper to try something different. Still, pellets last a long time with the smaller cooking area. Assembly wasn't difficult but plan on an hour to get everything set up. Overall happy with this purchase.
Grill was damaged but the box looked fine. purely cosmetic thankfully. pellet box caved in at the bottom some but it doesnt cause any issues. otherwise great combo grill. been using it almost daily!
I purchased this grill for my husband's Father's day gift. He wanted it because of the automatic pellet feeder. He is very mechanical but had trouble getting the lighter to work. Customer service was very helpful and stayed with him until the system was functioning properly. It is smaller than I imagined but my husband seems happy with the unit. Product is more fir slow cooking.
Overall, it's a good grill. I feel that it cooks relatively evenly. It isn't the largest grill out there, but it does the job just fine for me family of 6. I would have rated it higher, but the product was dented on the pellet side. It doesn't affect the way it operates, but when you buy something, you want it to be on good condition. The propane side doesn't ignite the burners like it is supposed to either. i have to use a lighter or some other method of lighting it each time i want to use it. once again, it doesnt affect the way it cooks, but when you buy something new you expect it to work 100%.
