First Alert SMI100 Battery-Operated Smoke Alarm with Ionization

I definitely needed to upgrade my old smoke alarm and this one made the process painless. The instructions were clear, setup was quick and everything worked exactly as it should. There's a little blinking green light to let you know that it's working. It also comes with a battery pre-installed. Just remove the plastic tab and you are ready to go. It is not the most exciting purchase in the world, but knowing it is installed and doing its job is worth every penny. Simple, dependable and easy to recommend. Get one and stay safe!

Good smoke detectors working well - good replacement for the smoke detectors that kept going off in the middle of the night! A little hard to set up but finally figured it out and happy with them, Will order two more!

I purchased this smoke detector to place in the ceiling upstairs in my hallway because I could not safely reach and remove the hardwired smoke detector that is located above my stairway. This smoke detector has a 10 year useful life. It can be operated by a 9 volt battery, that should be changed every six months, and can be hardwired into your home's electrical system. I have had First Alert smoke detectors operating in my home for the past 7 1/2 years without a problem. Which is why I purchased this particular unit. Installing a new 9 volt battery and testing it is easy. I would recommend this smoke detector to anyone who is in the market for a new smoke detector.

Just as advertised, worked as should

Perfect thanks for the price also

A highly rated product, I was happy to find it at Walmart and for an excellent price
