Kidde Basic Fire Extinguisher for Home, Residential 1A10BC

Well it's looks like a fire extinguisher and ...we'll it doesn't smell like anything. Kinda metallic when you lick it. I gave 5 stars for ease of use but I haven't actually used it yet. So far so good! I'll come back and let you know more if something bad happens.

I purchased one of these 12 years ago, and thankfully I did not use it. Now I had to buy a replacement. I have no experience on how well it works, but I definitely recommend for anybody that wants to be prepared! Thank you Walmart. also the pickup I done was phenomenal.

I can't say if this was easy to use because I haven't had to, thank goodness! But I wanted a fire extinguisher in my kitchen for emergencies and this is perfect. Good size and gives me a sense of safety in the event of a fire. I plan on getting another for the garage.

Unfortunately, we just suffered a kitchen fire and had to use all of our extinguishers, so replacements were urgently needed. Walmart had the fastest shipping, which made a stressful situation much easier, and we purchased here. Hopefully, I will never have to use an extinguisher again, but I have peace of mind with the Kiddie brand (the originals were Kiddie as well). This one arrived fully charged according to the gauge, which I really appreciate—it's reassuring to know it's in proper working condition right out of the box. Reliable product, trusted brand, and quick delivery. Would purchase Kiddie extinguishers again (though hopefully I won't need to!) for the peace of mind they provide.

These Kidde Fire Extinguishers are the perfet size: big enough to handle a large indoor residential fire and compact ebough that I know my wife could operate it, if necessary. Also, they handle all three types of fires I know from experience that Kidde is as reliable name as ther is. I also have Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide detectors protecting my house.

this kidde basic fire extinguisher is a good price for added safety at home. i bought it to replace the one i've had for 16 years. i didn't know they expire because the one i've had for 16 years is still showing in the green. i'm still keeping that one, too.

Believe me, you need one or more of these easily available. I recently had a scare with a short in a wall switch. I had been putting off buying an extinguisher but this prompted me to get one quick. Fortunately I was able to handle this situation but it was very clear this is something I needed immediately. Now I have one in my kitchen and I'm gonna order a couple more so if case of emergency I'm better prepared. Don't wait till you need it to buy it, that might be too late.

The fire extinguisher functions well and feels sturdy and dependable. My only issue is that the item I received did not match the images or description on the listing. The packaging and appearance were noticeably different. Still a good product overall, but the listing should reflect what's actually being shipped. Satisfied, but could have been 5 stars if the product that arrived matched the actual listing...

Purchased October 2025, as of today 2/28/26 the gauge needle is on the line between full and empty, and we haven't used it at all. And it's non rechargeable. And it's now past the return window. Waste of money, bought because Kidde is supposed to be one of the top brands. Had a previous one that lasted over a decade.

It's funny how the unit doesn't look anything like the photographs. In the photos, there is a big robust valve, which is clearly legible with a nice needle and different gradations. There is also a photo of a wall mount with a rubber strap. So you open the box and here's this tiny little toy valve that you can hardly read - and a little chunk of plastic that you can fix to the wall, but no strap. Why do they show you pictures of an item that isn't in the box?
