Fiskars Classic Stick Rotary Cutter 60mm

I'll admit upfront, I don't know what I was getting into when buying this blade. I just knew there had to be an easier way to cut the leather projects I was working on. Well, this blade is very good for cutting leather. It's VERY sharp. The handle is easy to grip. It's sharp enough to cut through the leather, and my finger, like butter. It did what I needed, but I had no idea what I was doing. These are better for crafters that have some experience.

It was really nice. It's the first time trying a cutter this big and it was easier to work with over my smaller ones. The handle is still slim enough to hold easily and control.

I purchased this cutter to use on fabric. It has been a great decision. It slices through most fabrics with ease. The handle is comfortable to grip and allows for easy movement for those difficult cuts.

good sharp blade

I needed a 60 mm rotary cutter and decided to try Fiskars brand. I am a quilter and had never used the Fiskars brand before. I was somewhat amazed at how much smoother it cuts compared to the Omni brand cutter I had used for years. I actually replaced my 45 mm rotary cutter also with a Fiskars brand, and now rotary cutting is much easier on my hand and wrist.

I have to say that this Fiskars 60mm Rotary Cutter is amazing. I don't have any projects going on right now, because decorating my small house for Christmas doesn't leave me room for working on much of anything. But I was really excited to it them out, so I set up an old TV tray and got out an old pair of jeans that I've had set aside to cut off and hemn to Capri length for next summer. This rotary cutter cut right through the denim easily. So for the next leg, I folded them over, so I'd be cutting through 4 layers of denim. Still, went right through super easy. I am so impressed! The handle is just the right length and thickness to hold on to when cutting, and the safety blade lock is easy to switch to “lock” while holding them, as soon as you're done cutting. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who sews or does crafts! One thing- make sure you have a proper cutting mat underneath, because it will cut your table. (And I'm not sure whether repeated cutting on an old wooden table like mine will dull the blades.)

My first impression was how light it was compared to my other cutter From a different brand. It gives it a cheep unsturdy feel. But if you Have hand difficulty it might be perfect for you that it is light. It's Performance was as expected. The blades were well oiled and I worry A little about it transferring to the fabric but didn't see much evidence Of that. Overall a good cutter I would recommend.

The shape of the handle makes it so that it does not cut with a comfortable position instead, it gets positioned too high because of the knife guard
