I recently received the Fiskars Hori Hori Garden Tool. This tool it wicked (in a good way)! On one side a sharp smooth blade. The other side is serrated and sharp. There is a forked tip. This tool will be able to do so much. The blade also has English and metric measurements that will ensure planting depth. The soft grip handle is a little large for my hands but overall is comfortable and will prevent slippage. This tool also comes with a hard plastic sheath that has a belt loop allowing it to be convenient and portable while working around the yard. My area is still pretty frozen but it will be nice to be able to have one tool to weed, plant, split, cut and saw through the ground and root systems.

I love Fiskars tools. I have them in my gardening, sewing, crafting and kitchen areas. I have found them to be well made, long lasting, and reliable. They don't rust, they don't feel cheap. This tool is no exception. I have had a Fiskars gardening spade for years as my go to tool. This may replace that. It is solid and well made. It has a beautiful stainless steel blade. It is substantial, but not too heavy to wear you out with use. It has a nice solid handle that is easy to grip. It comes in a scabbard! Like a sword! You could hang it on your belt or garden tote. If you have kids, be careful because they will surely steal it from you and want to play with it, and it has some sharp edges. Not knife edge sharp, more like a saw on one side. Perfect for cutting woody stems in a pinch if you don't have your Fiskar clippers on hand. Also great for opening various bags of soil, fertilizer, etc. it has a sharp fork at the tip that will work as a dandelion digger for weeds or thinning out plants. It has a measuring guide on the blade. Up to 6 inches (although for some reason they didn't print the 6) or 17 cm. A sharp blade on the side opposite the serrated side. It is slightly dished so you can use it to loosen the dirt from the pot to transplant things. With this and my spade, I think I can handle most hand planting and weeding garden chores.

Fiskars quality. I have never been disappointed with them.100% worth it. This hori hori has changed the way I garden. No kidding. I can ditch 5 tools and keep this one in the bag. It comes with a belt clip or it easily attaches to a garden tool bag/basket. It comes sharp, so please be careful. I've split bulbs already, it went through cleanly and quickly. The ruler is a nice b flu bus, too. The numbers are etched, only con,so kinda hard to see. Pro, it wont wear off, lol. The serrated edge is very much appreciated. The weight is good, doesn't seem like itll bend or break too soon.

I love my hori hori. It is the all around great garden tool. As hand digger, it is well balanced and light weight. Ideal for planting flowers and herbs. It cuts thru roots. It is also a weeder. Note the ruler down the middle for measuring hole depth. Well made. Substantial. Wonderful gift for a gardener.

My first impression of the Fiskars Hori Hori Garden Tool was "wow!" What a massive and impressive gardening tool! The size and design alone of this gardening knife are notably striking, and the multi purpose features make this quite an accomplished tool. The knife has a corrosion resistant stainless steel blade and is duel edged with one side a sharp straight edge and the other a sharp serrated edge, making it very useful for cutting through weeds, sod and roots, and thick growth in your garden. I was able to easily remove several 1" to 2" branches in my yard using the serrated edge. The knife also has a forked tip which makes easy work of planting, weeding, splitting full plants and transplanting, and it has easy to read measurements right on the blade to assist with proper planting depth. It has a soft grip, ergonomic handle for comfort and control, and includes a hard plastic sheath for storage with a convenient clip for your belt loop for easy carrying during your garden chores. In my opinion, the Hori Hori Garden Tool is a distinct and superb gardening knife for all your weeding and planting needs.
