First, if you are not already familiar with the Fiskars brand, check out their other items. I know from years of using items by this brand that I am going to get a quality product. I specifically bought this one because of the size. Determine what you want to cut, how much you will be using the item, and how thick you want to be able to cut through, and go from there. Highly recommend this for trimming branches. I am 5' 2” and occasionally have issues with my hands. Fiskars is a go to brand for me from scissors, small pruning shears, to larger cutting needs.

I MUST have a good quality lopers. It was time for a new lopers, one that was sharp again, after my old one had gone through years of use. I researched the available lopers on Amazon, Menards, Farm and Fleet etc. I did my research! In the end, Walmart had the lowest price on this model, AND I could pick it up that very day, instead of having to wait for a shipment to arrive to my house. I tested the lopers right away, and found them pleasingly sharp! I loved that the diameter they can cut is a full 2 inches, AND I do not have to open the lopers extremely wide to achieve this feat. The energy output by me to cut a 2 inch sapling or branch is very acceptable. These lopers are not too heavy, as some reviewers complained about other models. Also, although the blade is not replaceable as one other model offers, I decided that I could live without that feature as the replacement blade would be 2/3 the cost of a new pair. I expect that with proper care on my part that this pair of lopers will last many many years before i even contemplate replacement again. I am thoroughly happy with these lopers and I have used them many times for a wide variety of jobs. I recommend this selection to anyone interested in quality and lightweightness and features.

Great . Easy to use, powerful. Easily helps me cut %26 reduce midsize trees %26 big branches. (2” radio) It is a bit heavier than the smaller 1%261/2” which i also have and it is also great.

Without taking the time to perform engineering calculations, I thought that the gear tooth arrangement b/w the blade %26 one handle might make this lopper noticeably easier to cut with, compared to lever arrangements in some other loppers. However, it still requires a nominal amount of strength to use.

The build quality seems very nice. These 'feel' the sturdiest loppers I've owned to date. I have one issues and it's with the how they open, to open them fully you need to have the wingspan of kareem abdul jabbar, so actually utilizing the feel cut is nearly impossible. Otherwise I really like them.

Cuts very well I like the long handles love the ratchet type pruners - paint finish in small area on metal was missed in finishing it. That's why I gave 4 stars.

The product works wonderfully. I have not had any trouble trimming any of the branches. Nonetheless, the product that came in the first order was used, unpackaged and the return process was a nightmare. Fedex will not take the product because it was unpackaged and walmart will not take it back in store. So I was left in a limbo and was going to be charged for something they did not want to take back. Seriously, Walmart needs to fix this.

The design of this branch cutting tool is HORRIBLE. The handles have to be be spread all the way open to expand the blades to cut due to the idd shape of blades. Look at the picture to see what i mean. Until I received the cutter i didnt think it would be useless but after twenty minutes of trying to trim a few dead end off my sapling, i gave up and decided to return it. I usually like FIskars products but they made a disappointing product this time - get your act tigether !

Did not get from you- the same model I ordered from Amazon was great- Walmart said available and when I did not get with my delivery - they acted like I was being dishonest- did get my refund
