Love love looove this cast iron loaf pan. It’s beautiful and so high quality! Baking bread is even better with a beautiful pan 🩵 I got the blue color and I’m obsessed.
These pans have helped our sourdough bread bake up consistently and are perfect for sourdough
These pans arrived promptly and are so much nicer than I expected. I baked a white bread in one of these new pans and a loaf in 1 of my old aluminum pans and the new iron pan blew the old aluminum pan out of the water! The bread raised better %26 was crispier on the outside and nice and tender on the inside. Luv it 👍
I bought two of these. The clearance price on the yellow was irresistible. These pans work great for no-knead and artisan breads. I prefer the rectangular shape for toasting and sandwich breads, which why I bake breads. The interior isn't enameled, but it does seem to be rust resistant. Of course, I seasoned these pans the same way I do regular cast iron, and that helps to make them non-stick. I use them like a bread oven, with the bread loaf totally enclosed for the first portion of baking. But the two pieces can also be used as two separate bread pans. The darker interior bakes a little hotter than the white enamels, I think. There was a big fuss about the Aldi bread dome cast iron bread oven / pan when it came around this year. If you missed out of that one, definitely try this rectangular pan instead. I find its shape more practical than those round "artisan" domes. I bought one of these pans, tried it, liked it so well that I came back and bought a second one. I highly recommend these. They're a great value. I didn't attach any photo because these look just like the photos in the listing.
I bought this for its rectangular shape which is more useful for sandwich or toasting bread, where you want squarish slices. I baked one loaf of whole wheat no-knead "artisan" bread and this bread oven worked great. The interior isn't enameled, so you'll need to season it as you would any other uncoated cast iron. The plus to that is it's a dark interior, which helps develop a crisp, brown crust. And also this can be used to bake at the 500F temperatures for sourdough, without worrying about the interior enamel getting damaged. It was a good value on sale, and a nice complement to the round bread dome from Aldi. It can also be used as 2 separate loaf pans. Those round bread domes basically are a single purpose pan.
No dislikes, as product works as expected. I had no difficulty with "sticking" of my loaf, as I'd preheated the pan (450*F) before placing the loaf inside. The Top/Bottom of the pan fit snugly, so there's excellent steam retention to promote a better "Oven Spring"
Had to return because the enamel was chipped. It is very beautiful. I think it would have worked good for us.
This set of pans are very neat in appearance but smaller than I expected. A loaf of sourdough bread will not fit inside.
The 2 pans are not lined up correctly and it doesn’t close
It was the perfect dimensions for what I needed but the enamel arrived chipped in several areas. My concern is rust under the enamel when washing this cast iron pan. I contacted customer support and they told me they told me the vendor would contact me in 24-28 hours. This was on April 8th, 2026. It is now April 20th and no one has contacted me or followed up. So I guess I’ll eat this cost of an expensive pan that arrived damaged.
