I read the detailed review by another woman on here and her thorough review helped me decide to purchase this particular popcorn popper. The item worked exactly as the lady described and I am so glad I made this purchase! The popcorn popper pops way more popcorn than cooking several bags at a time in a microwave. The handy measuring cups let you know exactly how much oil to add and how much popcorn kernels to add. Just make sure you do not get too close to the burner when you take the tray off to pour popped popcorn into a bowl and you have to use heating pads to remove by the handles to pour. The burner underneath will get hot and burn you if you aren't careful!

Love my popcorn!

Nedia May 9, 2024

This popcorn machine is perfect. No real need to measure. I did measure the first batch, but found it was not sufficient, so I just poured the oil and popcorn myself and had better results. However, as soon as you hear the kernels stop popping, turn it off and remove the popcorn immediately or else it may burn the popcorn. Warning, it does get very hot, so keep it away from children.

Popcorn Lovers Dream

Christine November 10, 2023

Easy to use and a large capacity. Very easy to clean. Works great and delivers delicious popcorn. They even give you step by step instructions if you don't know how to use a popcorn popper. Plug it in, add oil, add popcorn and cover. The popper stirs the kernels to get a full popper full. Follow their recommendations and do not over fill the popper.

Greatest popper every

HAL December 6, 2025

I have had stir crazy poppers for well over twenty years and like them just fine, although the last iteration was a bit more awkward to use. I bought this FOHERE because it looked a bit more like the older model stir-crazy I liked. I was pleasantly surprised! This popper pops virtually every kernel and is much easier to clean because the heating surface detaches from the body of the popper. It is a decidedly improved version. A ten out of ten for sure. I highly recommend it.

Good LARGE SIZE Popcorn Popper 👍🏻👍🏻

Joan May 27, 2026

I first brought a popcorn popper in store that was “DASH” brand (16 cups popped capacity). But after reading the 32 warnings especially all the HOT warnings, like wear oven gloves to flip over, must rest machine 10 minutes between popping cycles, not exceed 5 minutes of continuous use. I thought I should see what else was available on-line (with a larger selection of brands). I found this one which looked more robust and hopefully cooler machine. Too many appliances are too cheaply made without any extra space or buffer and end up running way too hot which leads to very nasty burns. So always read warning to avoid burns %26 fires! This popper unfortunately has about the same amount of warnings, including use oven gloves. I did notice that with the separate popping tray/heat surface… 1) the unit cools down faster (heat coils on the base is exposed to air once separated from popping surface tray for faster cooling off) and 2) much easier to clean then the all in one heat base of the DASH unit. I also notice that the DASH stir had a gap between the end of the stir and the heating base edge. Plus this unit pops up to 28 cups, (w/3 other small batch sizes in the owner manual). I did first do the commended cleaning of the unit prior to using and the pre warm up (so any weird odors are burned off first). The other evaluations said the black top lid would not stay on, so I first checked mine and made sure it function well. A common design flaw on most poppers! But after just one popping usage and 2 hand washing, I could NOT GET THE TOP BLACK LID TO SEAT BACK ON THE CLEAR BOWL, AGAIN! Permanently warped clear bowl from just one usage? So very disappointing there! Was able to jam it on again later, we will see if it again won't go back on after clear popping bowl is heated again. Second popping and no the black lid top will not go back on, so if use butter on top (I did not) will have to use another serving bowl or have a plate underneath. I used organic cold press coconut oil and Amish red corn kernels (about half the size of the big yellow store brought corn kernels). But no worries there with the wire stir arm. Popped very nicely giving a full huge bowl. The owner's manual has 4 different batch sizes in milliliters of oil to kernels measurements. But I found the 2 small supplied measuring cups in milliliters to cumbersome/messes for measuring. So, translating… for a full bowl… just one full shot glass of oil to 3/4 cup of corn kernels!🥰. For much easier measuring. But overall I am glad I got this unit on-line, with the flip out heat surface tray, for faster cooling and easier cleaning (even though per the instructions hand washing only for all the materials). Happy popping! 😘👍🏻👍🏻

1400 watts???

John March 29, 2026

I would have given a 5 star but this popper states it is 1400 watts but the instruction book says it is 800 watts… I purchased because of the higher wattage. We have used the popper 3x and it pops very fast! Guessing it is the higher wattage because if you don't turn off and remove from the hot plate your corn will begin to burn.

Great product, the only thing is the instructions. They explain amounts in ml, L and grams, unfortunately I do not know those and had to try to convert. I ended up using my best guess😂. Otherwise a great unit

A $40 Popcorn Maker That's Worth $40

Peter June 20, 2024

I'm giving this 3 stars because that's an average rating for an average machine, which is precisely what this is. It's a $40 popcorn machine and, as a $40 machine, it works fine. It is not, however, a $140 machine, at least not US dollars. There's nothing special about it, certainly nothing that could ever justify the fantastical $140 price tag that somehow got assigned to it. It's really lightweight. The bowl is thin and a scratched up mess just waiting to happen. There's no form of adjustability and not even an indicator light on the switch. Nothing on it screams of particularly high quality. The only "special" feature is the way the bowl lifts off without lifting the entire machine. This might be a notable thing if the whole machine didn't weigh less than a tuna sandwich in the first place. As for complaints about the cover popping off the bottom of the bowl, that only happens if you have deformed or damaged that cap by leaving it on and letting it get heated up. Admit it. You did that, didn't you? This is pretty much the same as the old West Bend machine I bought 30 years ago, also for about $40. I certainly don't expect the longevity I got from that one, but considering that $40 isn't what it used to be either, I wouldn't expect it. I'd also caution people to order carefully. The ad for this machine is conflated with another model. I expected 1400 watts. I got 800. I expected a multi-function cooking surface with a removeable stirring rod on a unit that stacked compactly for storage. . That was the other model too. Ironically, that "better", more feature rich model had a lower MSRP as well. Bottom line is that any talk of this machine selling for over $100 on any planet is online influencer driven nonsense. But it because you like the color. Expect a $40 machine that works exactly like any other $40 machine and you won't be disappointed. Expect a great deal or anything special in terms of features, build quality or performance and you will be.

Getting Burnt is not worth the risk

Betty December 20, 2025

First I rated it at a overall 3 because of several features. I may not have read the page correctly when I ordered this item Im not for sure, but I do not care for the way the unit is built. It has been built cheaply. First you have the base (the heating coil) then next is the plate that the popcorn kernels sit on to pop it does have the metal prongs that rotate around the plate to move the kernels. The problem with the plate is that it is a detached peice from the rest of the unit. To be able to use it You have to make sure it is sitting correctly ontop of the Heating coil. The plate does not become secure (attached to the unit) Then you have the popping lid which for the price you may have thought it would be a thick plastic but it is not is more a thinner plastic. When the popcorn does quit popping that is when you have to lift the plate with the lid off the heating coil and invert it. The big issue is the handles are rather small and the bottom of that kernel plate is that the heat index is rather a broiling hot when it is touched to the skin and dont forget what it would feel like if the plate slips from the lid. One of the better factors about the popper is it pops rather fast and leaves very few kernels unpopped if it would be for the unattached plate I would have rated this unit higher because I have purchased some brand name units that did not pop as efficently as this model. To me it was all about the safety with this unit.

Don't buy - waste of money!

Dasdone October 20, 2022

Kernels were coming out immediately, I popped. Very few kernels were left in Maxine to pop. Asked for a refund, was asked for a video of machine (which I sent). Then they said the kernels were too small and that is why the kernels were shooting out I popped. It was my normal brand I got at Walmart.
