FRAM Tough Guard Filter TG9911, 15K Mile Change Interval Oil Filter For Select Vehicles

I recently purchased the FRAM Tough Guard Filter TG9911 for my vehicle, and I'm very impressed. The build quality feels durable, and it was easy to install. The filter cartridge itself was ok, but the supplied rubber seal had an imperfection that caused the filter to leak. Unfortunately, I didn't look closely enough as I was installing it and ended up with a big mess on the floor. I ended up re-using the seal from the old filter and that stopped the leak, but I killed an hour diagnosing and cleaning up the mess. In this day and age of factory automation systems with real-time video inspection, it is inexcusable for Fram to be shipping filters with visibly defective seals. I love the convenience of local pickup at Walmart, but next time, I'll probably just go back to ordering Mann filters online from rock auto.

I asked the associate for a filter specifically for a VW Jetta and what he sold me was not the right one despite being polite and asking him to make sure and he insisted so I went with it only to end up having to go elsewhere to find one that was the correct one
