It was very fresh

This is I believe, a true high quality baking soda. I believe this because this is very white, maybe whiter than the store-bought kinds, and also I noticed many tiny crystals that I never noticed before in 'regular' baking soda. Kind of cool. This seems 'healthier', or maybe less processed, than the normal store-bought kind. As far as it working for baking, cleaning, etc., it works just fine. I also like the fact that this baking soda is non-irradiated. Now this baking soda comes in a bag, which can be un-wieldy, so I transferred the contents to an empty garlic-powder shaker. Be sure to rinse and dry-out a container like that, ALL of it, because I didn't, and if you have ever wondered if baking soda absorbs smells, it does. Now my baking soda that I stored in my empty garlic-shaker smells like garlic, even from the dust left behind. I'm not complaining about the baking soda, it's just doing it's thing; I'm just saying what it can do. Overall, I am happy with the effectiveness and quality of this baking soda, and I would buy it again.

We order this on a regular basis because we use it to brush our teeth with along with peppermint oil. I love the fact that it is non-irradiated. Swanson's has a far price.
