Good ingredients, no issues!
I take these prenatals just for overall health & when I want my hair and nails to grow faster! Literally this is my holy grail when it comes to supplementing with something that I know is nourishing my body and filling in those nutritional gaps. I went vegetarian 6 months ago, and you'd never think I was missing out on any protein. (I also use the vegan greens from garden of life and throw that in my smoothies to add health benefits since I'm not a huge veggie fan and have to be, lol). Hands down, best vitamins I've ever used. I take all 3 at night normally, that way ANY side affects would take place when I'm sleeping. I've honestly never had any adverse reactions from these, though. Today I made Sunday breakfast so I took all three to give me an extra boost for my day. I'm so glad I found this company and I will never allow the chemical laden/full of filler vitamins in my body again!
I've been taking these vitamins for over a year while trying to become pregnant, and actually through my first pregnancy. I've never felt sick from taking them at any time of the day. They have the proper balance of supplements for a healthy mom and baby (or babies - we're expecting twins!) Id suggest this product to any mother to be.
I love the vitamin code raw prenatals! Not only are they good for me, I know they are good for my growing baby and it's all made with real food. Been taking it my whole pregnancy and even pre-pregnancy and knowing it's derive from real foods makes me feel good taking them. Also, love the fact that it contains folate !!
I've tried 5 other Prenatal vitamins and disliked all of them. They all gave me upset stomach and/or constipation which just added more discomfort to my uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms. With Garden of Life Vitamin Code RAW Prenatal I do not get any uncomfortable side effects in fact I think they make me feel better. I take 2 in AM and 1 in late day/dinner time. I HIGHLY recommend. It would be nice if the price were a bit lower or at very least pregnant woman could get discounts to buy in bulk. =)
I switched to this prenatal vitamin from another brand that was giving me some stomach issues during my first pregnancy. I used this vitamin again during my second pregnancy. It is on the pricey side, but the quality was worth it in my opinion. I didn't like the thought of taking more than one pill a day, but I quickly got used to it. I had no stomach issues with this vitamin and I even seemed to regain a little energy back during my bout with anemia during my pregnancy while taking it. I would recommend it as a prenatal vitamin.
Excellent, but be aware this doesn't contain Calcium. Good reason -- calcium in the stomach can slow down absorption of all the other vitamins & minerals. But you need calcium when pregnant to avoid preeclampsia (it's associated with low calcium levels). So take a Calcium Citrate supplement at a different time of day than your regular prenatal.
This was recommended to me by many of my friends. It is vegetarian with all minerals and vitamins needed before and during pregnancy. The issue that I had with this vitamin was you need to take 3 capsules every day but most of the time, I only remembered to take it once a day!
I took another brand when I got pregnant and switched at 12 weeks (my midwife didn't like the gummy ones). My vitamin levels were always healthy before switching and have stayed healthy (I'm 23 weeks pregnant now). I just realized this morning though that this vitamin needs to be taken 3 TIMES A DAY. So, it didn't hurt my vitamins levels that I've been taking it 1 time per day (like any normal supplement). The only thing this vitamin did for me was make me constipated and leave a faint fish aftertaste. I can't imagine how constipated I would be if I took it 3 times a day! I'm going to switch.
Disgusting taste of bad fish. No visible improvements.
