GE Personal Security Motion Sensing Alarm with Keychain Remote, 51207

I bought two of these sensors some years ago and I loved them. If you are a heavy sleeper believe and they sense movement where ever you put them they will wake you out of your sleep. To me they are so much better than most other sensors. If you are on a limited budget you will get the results of peace of mind and security, I know for myself. Just buy one and try it for yourself.

It and a 120 decibel alarm which is loud and will scare away most intruders. It's simple and quick to install, it has a 45 second exit delay and a 30 second entry delay so you can enter or exit before activating. It comes with a keychain remote which activates and deactivates the alarm from anywhere in your home. It also has a low indicator battery light, you can select an entry chime or an alarm to let you know of any motion it detects. It feels good to feel safe in your home and I would highly recommend this product.

Excellent for my use choice. I use this alarm to deter my cats from jumping on the kitchen counter when I'm away and at night. The cats have set it off & I've forgotten & set it off. It has a warning sound & some seconds (I forget how many maybe 30) before it fully sounds. I've learned to keep the remote close to allow me to disarm it once I hear the warning chirp. Since it cycles itself back to alarm mode after fully alarming, it works when I'm away. I don't think it has an indication that it alarmed - but that would be nice feature. I doubt my neighbors enjoy it, it IS loud. As a cat deterrent, it's perfect. They hate the sound & run for the hills. There are no footprints on counter this week! Since my cats DO set it off, I don't suggest buying this as an indoor security alarm if you have pets. It WILL detect their motion.

I actually love this product. I bought it because there are homeless people in my area who were coming into my front entrance and using my outdoor front water faucet. Very easy to install. I put mine up and over the Outside the front door that is covered, so now anytime someone comes up my driveway and near the entrance it goes off-Before they get to the door. I'm alert and my dogs are too. The distance it picks up motion is much further than-sometimes it'll even go off when a car drives by that's very close to the walkway. I expected and it goes pretty far to the side as well. It's almost annoying because it goes off constantly due to the birds that are nesting in my entrance area that keep setting it off. The chime is loud enough that I can hear it when I'm close to the house outside. I don't recommend the alarm -it's super loud. I love that it has a remote so I can turn it off when I'm mowing the lawn, without having to get a chair to reach it. I actually watched someone who was soliciting at my door(even though I have a no soliciting sign) and the guy kept moving all around and back trying to figure out where he could stand to get the chime to stop going off, it was hilarious to watch.

Easy to install. Great for the price and simple to use. Nice deterent.

I put it up in my new shed and it works

The alarm/sensor works well. I was glad that the battery plate includes a screw! If an intruder takes down the alarm, he/she has to get the plate off to remove the batteries and thereby turn it off. That requires a small screw driver and it takes time. I was disappointed that after an armed alarm goes off, it goes into a programmed cycle of turning on/off, based on more motion sensed activity. I'd prefer the alarm just stayed on and on ... until disarmed by the remote.

Put fresh batteries in and set it up. In less than ten minutes it would not respond to the remote. Took out a battery and put it back in...everything was fine and then same thing. Put all new batteries in and again and again the same results. Waiting for replacement from the manufacturer.

This alarm, when in alarm mode, chimes at moment of detection then flashes a red light for 30 seconds before sounding alarm tone alerting intruder that they have been detected giving them time to find it and disable it or grab and run. There is no means of disabling the 30 second wait except to set it for chime mode. The alarm isn't really that loud either, if it is 120 dbs I must be going deaf. If an intruder breaks into my house I want to be alerted immediately and loudly. This alarm does not do this.
