SABRE Wedge Door Stop Security Alarm with 120 Decibel Siren

Purchased 3 for Christmas for adult children who travel (both male & female). I will sleep much better knowing they are safer when they travel alone. Kept one for myself as well! nice that it is so compact and light weight. Pack it with me regularly now.

Security nowadays has been one of priorities in my family's life. You can be in s cabin in the middle of the woods or in the city, to have a device that alerts your about anyone that try to open the door it is a super useful tool. I chose this Door Step Alarm from Sabre, because I need to secure my front door's apartment. My son that is three years old started to get out because he learned just by looking at us how to open the door and, while I was not looking at him, I got a point that I couldn't go to the bathroom without put him on the crib or the high chair. After I installed it totally piece of mind. This alarm sounds loudly if he try to open the door, the sounds reaches to 120 dB and it can be heard up to 1500 feet, and the alert sounds continually until it is shut off. It also blocks the entry the wedge and non-skid grip prevents the door to be opened. The reliability is great because it has a low battery indicator. It is super light and easy to take it in a travel, so you can put on a front door of a cabin and scare off bears, in a hotel door to scare off invaders. So far it has been serving its purpose.

This is quite loud, and it works. It does not come with the required 9V battery. It has rubber on the bottom to prevent it from shifting too much when a door is opened. I like that you have to manually switch it off when activated and it doesn't just turn off when pressure is taken off the plate. The on/off switch makes it easy to take with you to a hotel for example, without triggering the alarm in your suitcase. The only difficult thing for me was that since I would use it on exterior doors (the door leading to the side of my garage, or my front door) there is the "threshold" of the door in the way so this doesn't sit flat. I have to put it sort of up at an angle over the threshold, and then stick it under the door. But I tried it out and it still works if the door starts to open. It's just odd that the directions say it has to be set flat on the floor but none of the doors I would use it on have flat floor underneath.

This door stop alarm is great to have at home for when you are going to travel. We have cameras and door chains in both front and back doors of our house as a protection when we are away for long trips, but I needed an extra protection for the door that connects the house to the garage and this door stop alarm will be perfect for this door. It requires one 9V battery (not included) and will show when the battery is low, it is easy to set up and disconnect, the size is small but it prevents access through the door and the alarm is pretty loud. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for an extra protection.

A man was kind enough to show me that he could, and would, break into my house thanks to the wall of windows next to the door, as well as in the door. The chain and bolt lock were useless. I'm so relieved to have this doorstop. Without any weapons or tools, I can feel more secure. I simply have to slide this under the door, and I am done. If anyone tries to open the door, they will be deafened by the 120 decibel alarm, and the neighbors will be alerted. The stop has rubber feet, so it will stay in place, and no one can enter! I can bring this with me to a motel too! Sometimes a trip out of state requires an overnight stay, and with this along, I can put on noise canceling headphones, and get some rest. The alarm will certainly be heard if I need to wake up!
