With it being just me, I decided to get one of these. I have been making the subway cold cut combo sandwich at home dipping with subways sweet onion teriyaki sauce. I am so hooked on them sandwiches with b olives and red onions pepperjack cheese and the meat from the Walmart sub kit ham and salami. It is to die for. buying this allowed me to heat it up and have the perfect crunch from being toasted. Now if i could just find the italian herb and cheese bread from subway... lol
This was a replacement for an older Foreman grill. The grill plate is about 1" smaller all around. I used it for the first time and it grilled the buffalo burger well. One problem I had is that this cord is so short I had an issue placing it on the same area as the previous one.
For the price this contact grill has everything you need. It's small to store and easy to clean. It's not necessarily fit for a family because of its capacity but for 1-2 people it's pretty sufficient.
I've been looking for a good smasll countertop grill/panini press for some time. I've burned through some and sent some back. Sticking was the biggest problem with most. After just a couple weeks of use the non-strick coating was anything but and coming off. This GF grill is a keeper. Cooking a 1/3 pound hamburger takes 5 minutes. 3 minutes cook, add the bun top/bottom and 2 minutes more to finish cooking to medium and brown the bun. As the machine is cooling down put a wet paper towel in it then wipe clean when almost cool. Easy. Oh, it does paninis too with it's very accommodating floating hinge.
I have the old George Foreman (which I still love) but this one is longer and lifts higher to put bigger sandwiches %26 meats
Love the new design! Meat and fish turn out great! Very easy to clean. Love the new stand up design.
Purchased as a gift for a friend. As the friend was using it, it had better features than the model I have. Space saving storage, tilt selection...
For the price, it is good. However, I wish there was an on and off switch.
The one thing this item was supposed to do it failed. The drip tray was supposed to catch the grease. It did not do that. No matter how I positioned the drip tray the grease ent all over the counter. Every time I use this I have to ruin dish towels and use up paper towels to clean up the mess. I don't understand if I have a wrong drip tray or what but it is an utter mess.
Online reviews were all great, but not for this household?? The grease catcher did not click onto the bottom as described. Plate too small for 2 burger patties. Did not grill consistently on each beef patty. Grease splattered all over the counter and stove top while cooking, while closed. Hard to clean and not able to detach plates to reach all areas and grooves around the plate and hinges. The grease catcher never felt clean even after soaking, scrubbing, and spray Dawn foaming spray. Very disappointed, have been trying to clean grill and areas around where it was located for almost an hour and didn't take photos of grill but showing you all the paper towels used trying to clean. Had to take stove top apart and soaking burner rims trying to clean off grease?? Disappointed on all levels.
