My grandma had the older version of this and I remember she really liked using it. I had one years ago, but it fell off the counter and broke. But looking for a quick easy way to do food, like burgers, which can be really greasy these days, this was the ticket. Doing chicken, burgers, whatever is really quick and easy, not to mention not having to heat up the kitchen with it getting so hot outside.
Always handy for a panini sandwich! This is my third George Foreman Grill over years of constant use. I can't complain of having issues with it other that with years of use the coating degrades, but it is like with any skillet or pot that even with proper care with years of use it eventually degrades.
Had form and grills before, and finally , threw them away because they were so difficult to clean. The cleaning pad no longer comes with the device. removeable plates make it much more usable. It would be nice if they would finally have heat settings, so you could choose according to what you are cooking.
I like the new finish. I had the same model before, but this one's better. My previous one- the grill plates left black smudges on my fingers. This one doesn't. It's a very helpful tool in our kitchen. The only concern I have is the hinge- it seems a little loose, but with careful handling, it is fine.
I don't know why it took so long for me to discover that George Foreman had a grill that the grills came off. Upon realizing this existed, I ordered it on walmart.com and picked it up the next day and I used it. The sizing is good for one to two people. This size isn't really big enough to cook for a family of four at one time I don't feel. It opens and closes easily. The grills come off and on easily for cleaning and are stable when cooking dishwasher safe as a plus they definitely make nice grill marks on steaks. It's easy to open and close on the hinge that's provided. I don't use it to make hamburgers, but I've used it to make steaks, salmon and chicken breast and all those came out well.
Great product. I had a large one I bought years ago and it broke so we looked around for another one and settled on this one. It is a bit smaller but is just as great as the larger one. You can do four small slider size patties or two full size patties. Cooks well and heats up fast.
A little small considering it is supposed to serve 4 people. when new the angles a little steep food wants to slide off if it's heavy enough it will get over the little lip that's supposed to hold the food on. otherwise this is a good product and I would recommend purchasing it or maybe the bigger size up
It cooks great and I have not put anything on it yet that stuck to it even a little bit. The only thing about it that I don't like is that it doesn't latch closed and a couple of times while cooking I have had food slide off of it. It really needs a latch. But it does cook great, just watch while cooking that nothing slides off.
The grill was quite a bit smaller than I expected. It said 4 servings but I could barely fit 2 burger patties on it. I took it back and got a larger version instead. If you just want to cook 2 burgers though it does pretty well. Other than the size, the drip pan didn't catch all the grease, but that might have just been a matter of finding exactly the right placement.
This is not like the old ones, this is too inclined, the food slides down, it doesn't stay put %26 it takes too long to heat up. The material is as expected, SUPER CHEAP!! No utensils were provided with this unit as the units before. I bought this for my husband for Father's Day %26 he's not the only one that's disappointed.
