My grandma had the older version of this and I remember she really liked using it. I had one years ago, but it fell off the counter and broke. But looking for a quick easy way to do food, like burgers, which can be really greasy these days, this was the ticket. Doing chicken, burgers, whatever is really quick and easy, not to mention not having to heat up the kitchen with it getting so hot outside.
I have bought George Foreman grills over the past 25 years every once in awhile becuase I sort of wear them out by being used a lot. They still worked but I just decided to "upgrade" so to speak. For the money in my opinon, living alone this grill and any other GF GRILL IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY COMPARED TO WHAT ELSE IS OUT THERE, but that's just me.
My grandmother loves her George Foreman grill but was unhappy with how hard it was to clean (trying to get the surface clean without accidentally getting the electronics wet). So this version with the removable plates is grate. It can be a little bit fiddly getting used to putting them back in but the ability to submerge the plates when cleaning them is well worth it. They are also technically dishwasher safe but generally non-stick items wear out faster when run through the dishwasher so I mostly hand wash them.
It is a bit smaller than our old family sized George Foreman grill but you can fit 4 decent burgers. It cooks much faster than the old one and the removable plates are awesome for easy cleanup. looking forward to using the adjustable back for making panini sandwiches.
Always handy for a panini sandwich! This is my third George Foreman Grill over years of constant use. I can't complain of having issues with it other that with years of use the coating degrades, but it is like with any skillet or pot that even with proper care with years of use it eventually degrades.
It cooks great and I have not put anything on it yet that stuck to it even a little bit. The only thing about it that I don't like is that it doesn't latch closed and a couple of times while cooking I have had food slide off of it. It really needs a latch. But it does cook great, just watch while cooking that nothing slides off.
A little small considering it is supposed to serve 4 people. when new the angles a little steep food wants to slide off if it's heavy enough it will get over the little lip that's supposed to hold the food on. otherwise this is a good product and I would recommend purchasing it or maybe the bigger size up
It says its a 4 serving grill, it most definitely is not. I know Americans love big portions and my household doesn't follow that standard. We eat proper portion sizes and this is not a large enough grill to be considered family sized. Perfect for two servings or one person that likes large servings.
The grill was quite a bit smaller than I expected. It said 4 servings but I could barely fit 2 burger patties on it. I took it back and got a larger version instead. If you just want to cook 2 burgers though it does pretty well. Other than the size, the drip pan didn't catch all the grease, but that might have just been a matter of finding exactly the right placement.
I have purchased George Foreman grill since the first infomercial in the '90s. none of the frozen meat stays in the George Foreman. They'll just slide out either end up on the kitchen countertop or on the floor. I've never ever had this happen before until I purchased this model.
